Would you take Robbie Keane?

  1. Yes - we don't have anybody better

  2. No - we have a clutch of Ameobis, McLoven and Leon 'Shottingham' Best

  3. No - Steve Harper used to be a striker...

As seems normal among European players who play in MLS/Landon Donovan, there's an opportunity to get them in on a two month loan. Robbie Keane has been linked with us in the last 3 transfer windows (and, if I'm not mistaken, repeatedly when Sir Bobby was gaffer), and is apparently on the look out for a 2-month loan over here. Would you take him?

I'd take him to the cinema but he'd have to get the popcorn and wine gums.

Yes, a two month loan deal would be good. Would have a good quality striker and if he was ****, he is going back anyway so no biggy

I'd take him on a two month loan, as long as we don't pay excessive wages for him to play for us. No harm in having another striker in just in case there's some injury crisis and Shola, Best and Lovenkrands are out for two months.

I'd rather we bought someone but if this is the best they can do on the striker front then i'll take it.

Honestly, yes. He's better than Shola and Lover and would certainly be more prolific.

He's crap now, if they paid all his wages then that is the only time I'd think about it. With Ba going to ACoN I suppose it's a shot to nothing but I'd rather we just bought a long term solution.

Sure, what would we have to lose? He can't be any worse than Shola or Lovenkrands and would add a bit of squad depth. Rather get him in than nobody.

Defiantly not! He's a good goal scorer but he's a club whore who would upset the balance here. Also he's too old for our transfer policy. We should be investing in and trying out youth rather than paying the wages of overrated and ageing players.

On a two month loan no question whatsoever. Eye for goal, still fairly quick, like a vastly superior Lovenkrands.

Think Lover might leave this month anyway, so would be a good addition.

Remember, it would only be for 2 months. Don't see why it wouldn't be a good move

To everyone saying he is too old, he is only 31. Smart enough player to nick us a few goals if Ben Arfa & Cabaye can provide for him.

This. It's only a loan, and Best is on something like an 8 game barren run. Ben Arfa isnt a goalscorer either.

Wasn't good enough for West Ham last season, why would he be good enough for us?

I would take him, not permanently or for any kind of fee but certainly on loan to cover the african nations with the option to stay the season if hes half decent.

If nothing else is on the table for anyone else then why not.

Because West Ham were ****e, couldn't create any chances. Ba was their only decent player and he looks 10x better for us.

I'd rather a proven goalscorer starting than Lovenkrands.

Ba still managed to end up their top scorer though, in fairness.
