Serious question, not here for an argument. I am trying to guage how fans of other top 10 teams rate Alex Song. Would you swap Essien or Mereiles (sp??) for Song ?
Meireles? In a heartbeat. As much as we love Essien he isn't the player he once was but is more disciplined and experienced than Song
That surprises me massively !! I am shocked. I'm having an argument and the suggestion is Song would walk into any top team, I'm surprised he is even a starter at a top 10 team but, I expect more from CMs !!!
Song is class! I'd take him in a heartbeat over both. Essien was amazing but has declined rapidly and will never be the midfielder he was a couple years ago. Song is young and being played too deep at Arsenal, if Song had Mikel or someone who sits deep all game along side him he would flourish.
I don't get it. Song is kack, he doesn't have the technique to be properly creative and although he has some assists this season his passing is dreadful.
I would definitely swap Meireles for Song. Song is a superb passer of the ball and a majority of Van Persies goals have been assisted by Songs through ball passes.
???? Song a superb passer of the ball ? We are watching 2 different people then. Apart from the odd clipped ball over the top for RVP to volley in his passing is either pants or basic !
Song has fourteen assists in all competitions this season, to put that into perspective Silva has 17 and Mata has 18. From a defensively minded player, that's phenomenal. What Arsenal need is an M'Vila to play the 'Makélélé' position, which would allow Song more freedom
