Any team that would have him would be seen to be condoning what he seems to have done . . . . an acceptance that would probably be vilified by everyone else.

The social media stuff, the alleged recordings and the nature of how evidence was withdrawn all suggests something murky

I'd be steering well clear - we don't need that sort of attention after recent events

The media and panellists who like to have a go at Safc for any reason would be delighted at the opportunity. But they would totally wet themselves with pleasure when suddenly remembering Adam Johnson and the chance of “ doubling up” and calling it a trend at the club
