Happily!!! Funny old game and we got the equivalent in terms of points. No reason to panic just yet.

Nice spin mate, I like it.

Still though, I can't help but think we are destined to go down, & I simply don't believe we are one of the worat 3 teams.

    **** it.

Of course I would my point on another thread.infact three of Cardiff and one off villa would have been better.but four points is what we got and that's it.

In a regular season, our current form under Poyet would be fine and a mid table finish acceptable. However, having gained just 1 point from 7 games at the start of the campaign, it's not going to save our season this time round. We should have beaten a Cardiff team in complete meltdown and we should have beaten or at least got a point yesterday from a very average Villa team.

The simple fact us we are where we are because we aren't very good either. Unless Gus can bring some new faces in very quickly, I fear this 1 step forward 1 step backwards routine will continue until the inevitable happens in May.

With a strike force of Fletcher, Altidore, Ji and Whickham, we would struggle to score in the Championship. Our failure to take chances yesterday cuts us again and then when the opposition score our bottle goes as we know we are toothless up front.

All our resources should be used to get us a striker who can put away chances. Unless we recruit a decent one our season is not going to end well people.

When you take into consideration the Norwich game as well I wouldn't have taken them

I would have wanted AT LEAST

    Norwich 3
    Everton 0
    Cardiff 1
    Villa 3

7 points, we managed 5 and that's with an unexpected 3 at Everton. Those 3 points gave us a brilliant opportunity going into so called easier games, but the team failed to take advantage.

The three points at Everton was a massive bonus, but we can't then use that as a thing to help justify our other poor results

Just as there was no reason to think we were safe after Everton, there's no reason to think we're relegated now.

West Ham looked safe now they're not, Palace looked doomed then safe then doomed again in the space of a few weeks.

Fulham and Norwich are all over the place ............. there's a long way to go.

Of course, I wish I could of been there with the fella's when they won at goodison and the lead up to the 'great escape' Cardiff game. Then at sol against our bogey side. I wanna know why we've beaten man city skunks Everton and not shown up at games that all poster's here think we should win. That's why I use the word consistency. How can we beat a top 4 side but lose to villa who hadn't won in 5? This is the time when I believe Gus will truly start earning his money.

4 points from the last three games would have looked OK beforehand, but to win at Everton and then lose to Villa was a massive disappointment. It was never going to be easy, as Villa know they're close to the wrong end of the table. But still...

Coupled with not beating Norwich, I am now really fearful of the drop. Unless we start winning games, and that now includes winning games at the likes of Everton, not just at the bottom-half teams, we are gannin' doon.

Defeat at Fulham would just about do it for me. I just can't see how we'll stay up with 2 points from Norwich & Villa at home and Cardiff away.

I'm not sure what to make of Poyet yet and fair to play to the guy he's having to pick things up quickly (we regularly give footballers half a year before we moan about them and allow them "time to settle" yet we tend to give managers about 10 games...).

So far you've got 13 points from 13 games since he came. Even if you try and cheery pick periods of 'form' under him you would be looking at either the back-to-back home wins (so 6 points from 3 games, which is nice) or the 6 points from 4 games collected over Christmas. They have been equally by poor form though (hence 13 points from 13).

Still think you'll stay up but previously I thought you'd do it with a bit of time in hand, now its looking more likely to go down to the last game or two. Got to start winning the easier games, really can't rely on getting much away to the top 7.

NO, we'll never catch Everton but taking 3 points off Cardiff and Villa would have been better for us.

We're (Norwich) not really all over the place.Twelve points from our last ten have taken us clear of the fight for the moment. The truth of the matter is that there's not that much between the whole of the bottom half and a couple of results could pull anyone out of the drop zone.If anyone looks like they've had it it's West Ham.

What about the next 2 matches lose to Carlisle beat Man u that would just sum SAFC up, the Jeckyl and Hyde team we have, you can see Fulham getting out of it, but us WHU, and Cardiff are gone I reckon, unless our 'billionaire' owner gives Poyet £60 m to spend quick. And knowing this lot they will win at Man u in the last match even though we will be down by then. Anyhow for most of the players in the championship it will be their level.
