Had a big argument at work this morning when I said I wouldn't swap Adkins for any other English manager and not many foreign ones!

Got me thinking. At present if you had the power to alter things who or what would you change about Saints?

What did the other person say specifically then..? I agree with you, btw. Don't fundamentally change a winning formula.

That's like asking "would you change anything about your partner?"....I love Saints because they are Saints, they may not be perfect but supporting them is never, ever boring.

Would never change Adkins. He suits Saints and, as importantly, suits Cortese. He is successful and plays attractive rather than boring football. He is an important cog in THE PLAN. Love everything about Saints at the moment and have to ignore the little voice in my ear that's trying to say: too good to last. That's the old Southampton thinking.

Cortese would never let him in with a gun.

Hmmm, not sure I'd want any of the players to have bigger t*ts.

Allow me to insert a pre-emptive apology. I could not resist.

The "sometimes" was just nine characters you didn't need to type in my experience Fran.

They were keen on Allardyce and Hughton in particular. Also Poyet got a mention. Can just about see the attraction with Hughton who has done well wherever he has been, no way either of the other two!

I wouldn't want to swap NA for anyone either. However, I think his relationship with NC has been crucial. Adkins is clearly not a "yes man" but is definitely a "yes we can" man and the shared vision coupled with this attitude has played a big part in us getting to where we are. I think Hughton is in this mould and would also suggest that Brendan Rodgers, Paul Lambert and David Moyes are too.

I would never swap Adkins with anyone, even Mourinho. Why?Because I love the guy,he has a great personality, shows great empathy and humanity towards people and he is a very good manager, who is getting the results to prove this fact.

The only thing I would change is to go bacl to the night many years ago when old Grandad Lowe and his wife were getting frisky and stop them conceiving little Rupie! I know this looks a bit voyeuristic, not suggesting I would watch....... or get involved...... and not intervene physically...... well you get the drift.
