winning the FA cup by only scoring only 1 more goal in the rest of the competition.
By wining on penalty shootouts and scoring 1 goal in the final.

Well, let me rephrase it, I'd be happy in the moment of winning it, any fan would, I wouldn't have enjoyed the cup run. Perhaps you could clarify exactly what you mean? I'm happy if we win a match, doesn't mean I'd be happy watching the game. :p

I'd be happy winning the FA Cup in any god-damned way possible. I've seen players like Jackie Milburn, Stanley Matthews, and Nat Lofthouse grinning like babies with that medal in their hands. That one is still the greatest domestic cup in the world. Pure magic. Sure, I'd take it. Any day of the week.

Nothing as exciting as a penalty shoot out. The higher the stakes the grater the excitement.

Yeah but the proceeding 120 minutes would be hell on me. Thank god I got my card for the south end this season as the crowd have given me all my entertainment. I don't know what I would have done without them.<laugh>

That's an odd fact, H&A. Neither Newcastle nor Sunderland had ever lost at Wembley since it opened in 1923 until 1974 (Liverpool 3, Newcastle 0). And, I'm not sure, but I don't think either of us have won there since! Once one of us lost there, we couldn't stop losing there!
