I think we'd be lucky to get that kind of money unless he signs a new contract as I think he's only got a year left at present.

If we're in position where we look like promotion is likely/possible, I think we should hold on to him as he'd be an important asset if we did manage to go up.

I'm hoping the fact he's a Leicester lad might sway him to stay for a few years yet.

He needs to sign a contract otherwise we'll be lucky to get 1m let alone 5.

    Agreed

Tribunals are never a good thing for the selling club

Yeah, i agree. I dont see why they want him though, i cant see him ever being good enough to play for them.

As for £5m, there is only point if the relacement is better and costs less. A cheeky £5m bid for naughton wouldnt be the worst though ;)

Exactly right - we'd just get the value of his contract which would be bugger all as he isn't on a first team contract yet.

Have a word with yourself ed - he's only 19 and you don't attract that amount of attention and from those clubs if you are not 'out of the ordinary' - I think a lot of interest was generated from his Bradford loan last season where he was getting very good reviews as an 18 year oild kid playing in a very competitive man's league .. his physical presence is already immense. I have already seen enough to think he will have a future at the top level in this country - I just hope it's with us.

From what I saw of Smallings, I couldn't believe that Man Utd would want as he was alright but not a world beater him but they did and he has become one of their best prospects.

Must see the same in Moore.

If Moore is worth 5M don't mean you should sell him for it. It just means we have a 5M defender

As a local lad I really want him to come through and nail a shirt down

Just my oppionion. Currently i see him as the weakest link of our back 4. Good for someone of his age, but if you were going to go onto big things i personally think you would be better by now.

Liam Moore looks a class act for his age and he looks alot better for a 19 year old then I would have expected. Both ability wise and physically

Which you are, of course, absolutely entitled to .... but Moore does not give me the jitters as much as Knonchesky does (for me by far the weakest link) ... and with Big Wes as a real role model alongside him I expect him to come on in leaps and bounds .. thought Moore and Schlupp did exceptionally well against two of the best talents in the division ... Thomas Ince's name is already being banded around in terms of England squads etc ,,

It seems more and more big clubs are starting to take punts on inexperienced players before their prices go through the roof. I guess £5m must be pocket change to them, since this would be a bit of a gamble - have we really seen any evidence that he can do it at the highest level? I think we really need to get him to sign a new contract, then take it from there. We're not desperate for money, but our owners did take a big hit last season, and £5m for a player that until last month has never been part of our set-up would probably make Top and co a bit more at ease with the situation.

On a similar note, whatever happened to that young lad at Forest that Chelsea paid £1m for? Even the Forest fans had never heard of him.

Tottenham signed Kyle Walker from Sheffield United for 3M. At the time 3M probably seemed a very decent fee but if Tottenham wanted to sell Kyle Walker today how much do you think they would get? Around 15-20M would be my guess

So if we sold Liam Moore for 5M and he achieves his potential how much do you think he would be worth in 3 or 4 years time? And how we we feel if he had sold him for a fraction of his true value

And what if he becomes injury-prone or doesn't live up to his potential? Remember Matt Piper's £3.5m move to Sunderland? There's always two sides to every argument.
