City vs Port Vale City win Carlisle vs Shrews Draw Crawley vs Blades Blades win Crewe vs Notts Cty Notts win Orient vs Oldham Orient win MK Dons vs Gills Dons win Tranny vs Swind Swindon win Wolves vs Colch Wolves win Although I am a firm believer in controlling your own destiny, I reckon if my thoughts come to pass it will put us in a much better position to not get caught up in the bottom four any time soon. Also by my reckoning if these results actually happen then we could be in 11th or 12th spot. Your thoughts?
I would like those results, but if you was not allowed the perfect 100% correct the one I would not mind being wrong is Crawley v Sheff that one I'm not to bothered about. But would be nice if you got 100%
I can't see crawley being sucked in with there games in hand, I think it would be better if they have nothing to play for come last game of the season in case we need something there
We win that's all I care about, not every team will drop points, not every team will gain points. And it's a big game considering who we have next. If we lose this and teams around us win we are paddling up **** creek and our paddle has just broken in half
There are a lot of remaining fixtures where teams at the bottom play each other- Ive never worked out if that is a good thing or bad. Yes, they both cant win, but equally, there will be points shared. The best scenario is for draws in that situation as the out of the 3 points available in a game, I point goes missing.
shrewsbury win...if city does a draw if they don't would love it as to get into 11th we would get 4 points for our win....lol,, simple to get to 12th would need to win by 1 crawley lose by 1 etc would also need Bradford to l;ose
I think our biggest need now, apart from tonight's results going as I suggested, is getting as many teams below us as is possible between now and the end of the season. Given that many of the teams below us will possibly be playing each other it allows them to beat up our competition without us having to be world beaters. For the first time this season I am confident we will be safe and a win tonight will make me even more secure.
A Duck walks in to a chemist and says, "hey mate, have you got any of that chapstick stuff" Counter assistant says "certainly Mr Duck, it's £1.40p a tube" Duck says "Stick it on my bill would you please"..
1) YOU ARE PLAYING TEAMS OF LIKE ABILITY!!!!!!! 2) as you say points can be shared, if it us we don't want draws better to win 1 lose one 3) when playing out of say bottom 10 /12 if you lose not given owt away just hope lower teams do same or draw heres some of them.......... ............ What the hell happened tonight? I am not a forecasting guru but rather went on my thoughts as to what would help us most and it worked out O.K. didn't it?
Well done Mike, you got a fantastic six out of eight. It was a superb performance against a Port Vale side who actually played a lot better than the result would indicate. JET and Sam will get the plaudits but my MOM was Frank Fielding for his fantastic double save when the score was just 1-0. And the Back Three of Nosworthy,Osbourne and Williams produced some very good tackles and interceptions to help keep the much valued "cleansheet" which gives us another point in hand with a zero goal difference. At this rate we could end the season with the first positive goal difference since promotion under GJ.
The new players looking good? Are we starting to see the core of next season's team coming to the fore?
