Personally i think we are missing out on a really good opportunity to sign a player who yes has temperament issues. But is still a very exciting player whose style would suit this league, and for £7m for me it would be a no brainer to bring him into the team. If diaby can stay fit then it is less of an issue, but i think that m'villa will shine in the epl and will go for double or triple this price tag in a year.

    Thoughts?

I think we are missing out a a TOP class young player.(and the kind of player our squad lacks)

For that money he's a steal.

I'll wager that, if he goes to QPR, he'll have some sort of relegation release clause.

The other way you can look at it is that we offered £25m+ a year ago and it got rejected and now he's being let go for £7m. He must be a real handful, for QPR especially it doesn't seem like they should be signing them, enough has been made about the issues they have off the pitch with player's attitudes. But i think that at arsenal we could have helped him get his head right and put the team first. Only time will tell if he is a success.

I think letting him go to QPR is a good idea. If he can show his quality in a struggling team for 6 months, then when they get relegated we can swoop in and get him for his cheap release clause.

If he does really well though suddenly you'll face competition from everywhere.

but if we buy him now and he flops, we'll be left with more deadwood. Considering we're finally managing to shift about 10 players of our book over the next two summers, I've no desire to add another to the list. Plus I think we can compete against anyone aside from Man United so it shouldn't be too difficult to get him in the summer if we wanted him.

That's the case with ANYONE we sign. The risk with M'Vila is not his quality. Wenger has a good track record with players like this.

You can't help but think that with his atitude problems M'Vila is going to end up as just another wasted talent.

THis I think is the worst argument for M'Villa. Isn't Wenger in the best position to judge whether he can work with him?

Arsenal should buy him for 7 mill and put your admission prices up another £10 per game :emoticon-0148-yes:

For me it's almost a formality. Even with the new signings they're just not guaranteed to be successes; Remy's out of for form and M'Vila has a whole host of problems. Unless QPR sign some more players I just don't think they have a great chance.

That's easy to answer. They didn't.

We would struggle to buy M'Vila from Marseille being he doesn't play for them.

That would be a great con though. Selling players you don't own.

He is the type of player we need.

I don't know if he will hit the heights some expected from him but i still think he would be a good player to have in the squad considering the options we have in midfield leave us with a lack of physical presence.
