Still get into our side even though he is nearly 40? I put it to you that he would and could still be an impact player coming on as a sub. He'd certainly be more of an influence than DGB imo.

Squad definitely - he's better than Graham IMO and that's no detriment to Graham - I just think Phillips is a better reader of the game and gets in the "irhgt place" more often!!

Honestly is absolutely mind baffling how we have went from Bent/Gyan/Welbeck/Campbell to Fletcher/Graham, utterly unbelievable

Would rather have SKP than DGB, ok as I conceded to a good friend of mine while watching the game on saturday, you can't really hold it against him for something he said years ago in a Watford programme. I'll hold my hands up & say now I was childish & wrong to do that. That said, I still think he's ****e, I mean ffs, just what the **** has he achieved? Nowt, that's what.

So we spend £5m on a bloke who could not get in Swansea's first eleven, (no disrespect intended as they are way better than us atm), & send a big, strong lad out on loan who we paid £8m for to Sheffield ****ing Tuesday ffs.
Can't name a full bench or even have an attacking player on it. The answer is obvious, O'Neill has lived on the back of John Robertson for years who was happy enough to let him take all the credit & glory. People still bleat on about his amazing record. OK, so he won a couple of league cups with Leicester City & a hat full in a two horse race up in Glesga.

Lets be honest about it, MON hasn't a ****ing clue has he? Bizarre team selections, bad & badly timed substitutions, ****wit negative tactics.
Aye, let's give him ten years to sort it out, by then we may just be clinging on to our place in the Wearside League.

Spot on Billy mate - I thought "give him a chance" when we signed him. He scored 14 goals last season so can't be a bad striker - I just don't think we suit his style of play like Swansea did. Something has to be untoward but, to be honest, he certainly isn't the only one on the pitch that can be blamed - so many others aren't pulling their weight! It's difficult for a side to carry one person but to carry 4 or 5 is impossible for someone in our situation.

Wickham - oh ****ing don't get me started!! We have 0 options up front other than Graham and Fletcher. I rate Fletcher highly but have been nonplussed with Graham - So we get rid of Fraizer Campbell for £600k because of his wages (if reports are to be believed) - they were around £25-30k a week. We get rid of Ji and we loan out Wickham

That could end up casting £50m let alone anything else so that £600k plus the wages we save are worth **** all. Martin must know something I don't!

Absofuckinglutely Marcus, Swansea play a tippy-tappy passing game which may well have suited DGB's style.
    What do we play though?

I'll leave the rest of you to answer that. My only hope is that the master tactition reads this board. <ok>
