He's good on the ball so he'd be capable in midfield but I don't think he has the physical side to play up front. When you see defenders going up front it's usually big strong ones like Chris Samba, or for us it was Michael Turner when we needed a goal.
How about getting Anthony Gerrard back in the summer and playing him up front ? He is big and strong and is very good in the air. Alot like Turner. Just saying like.
You guys see him more than I do, hence why I possed the question. He always look comfortable on the ball, and his first touch looks good, and he took the goal well last night.
To be honest John he would be wasted out of defence. Thats where he is best at. It would be like Man Utd playing Wayne Rooney in goal. lol.
Fryatt was dropped in September, but came back stronger. btw Whatever happened to Waghorn? Returned to Leicester but not featuring for them. Injured?
Chester's good enough on the ball to play in most positions, but as he's part of our best centre back pairings for years, he won't be considered to play anywhere else. John, Waghorn is back in training and is expected to be available for Leicester in the next couple of weeks.
I agree with OLM, but Chester can play in Centre Mid. I think that's where he played some of last season, when Hobbs and Gerrard played at Centre Backs
He did have a stint in midfield last year and he also played a few games @ right back if my memory serves me correctly
Only just back in training??? After about 6 months wil a pulled hamstring? What a total ****ing joke!!! Even jimmy bollard would have recovered from knee ligament damage quicker than that
I don't recall being too impressed with Chester in midfield. Anyway, like others have stated, he's currently part of the best defence in the league - if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
I saw Proud_Fox was blaming us for ****ing up his rehabilitation a couple of weeks ago. I think he's got some sort of problem with his hamstring, it's the second time he's been out for months with the same injury while he's been at Leicester.
Think he was made to play right back by Pearson against Millwall last season. We were losing at home, and everyone was screaming for him to carry the ball out of the defence and get forward, but he didn't because he wasn't that type of player.
