From another thread that collapsed into abstract nonsense, Beth made the following comment: Will be crucified for saying this ...would like to see Austin and JET play up front with Chery tucked in behind them...With Luongo and Ale providing the engine behind them. Not only will she not get crucified but its probably the type of line up that most of us are yearning for. Anyone want to risk a full team sheet based on this attacking option?
That's exactly the type of line-up to play if we had a defence. Sadly, and with Hill absent, I'm not sure we can afford to be so cavalier
Fer instead of Chery & Diakate in for Luongo, 3 at the back, Phillips & Hoilett playing as proper wing backs, JET & Charlie up top. Av some of that you northern monkeys !!!! Course it will be 4-2-3-1 absolutely no football played, & probably 3 nil down by half time
"...How come someone hasn't noticed that I'm dead, and decided to bury me, God knows I'm ready", what she said was sad..
Polter up front with Austin...........got to be worth a try as hasnt been yet and Charlie likes someone taking the weight off.......
I'm far from sure what would be our best playing system, but we completely lost all shape last Friday when we went to two up front with two wide men. Our attacks then ground to zero! This may, of course, have been down to the personnel rather than the system. Phillips & Hoilett were never going to attempt any defending so we ended up with a good old fashioned 4-2-4 that offered no help to the other six outfield players. I quite like the idea of Chery playing behind a front two, but this would require a midfield three behind him & a lack of width. What's wrong with trying something different though! At best only half of these will play, but I would love to see us try a 4-3-12:- Smithies, Perch/Ned, The Watford loanee/ Ned, Hall, The K man ( not Konchelsky, Luongo, Faurlin, Doughty, Chery, JET, Austin We ain't got anything to lose by experimenting!
Terry that is definitely my front 6 But the defence is not strong enough to play it. The midfield would be over run
Beth is right, we need to present ourselves as an attacking team both at home and away. We might get hammered in a couple but we also win some well. At least then, the fans can appreciate some positive attempts, rather than an imbecile who knows not where to put whom. If a team is not pro active, not positive in attack, it will reflect on both our team and the opposition. Confidence goes along way .................. we are currently having any remaining confidence coached out of us. Thanks Chris !
CR obviously isnt going to play Polter as brought on Blackwood instead last night. He'll be off in January and another Rangers player untried.............
