Nicklas Bendtner is confident he will leave Arsenal before the close of the transfer window despite rejecting several offers from other clubs.

The Denmark international is not in manager Arsene Wenger's plans at the Emirates and widely expected to move on.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Sunderland and Bendtner is happy to leave Arsenal in search of regular first-team football.

Bendtner insists talks are ongoing with several interested parties and that he has already turned down offers from other sides.

"Arsenal is not an option and that is something both the club and I agree on," Bendtner told sporten.dk.

"I expect to have found a solution to my situation before the window closes. There are concrete negotiations in the works.

Asked if he had turned down some offers, Bendtner added: "Yes I have and there are a lot of different reasons for that.

"I have three demands and I won't sign a deal with a club who aren't prepared to fill those demands."

First PNP mentioned this, now yourself, it really has become that desperate to even mention Bendtner's name yet in reality we don't need a world class striker, right now we just need options upfront and a capable striker, and while I don't rate the guy, he is capable of playing at the top level.

..............but I still feel dirty and ashamed for even considering this! (that is Bendtner by the way )

If he has the right attitude for starting again with us then fine. We're good at adopting Ex-Arsenal strays and turning them around.

Definitely a squad player and not first choice until he can prove himself though.

I just threw up a little bit in my mouth.......yes :-(
I think the guy is a bit pony but he could play the lone role. He is pretty good for Denmark

I think we could play Rafa in that role until such time we get NEW STRIKER.
This guy doesn't fill me with confidence.

Every arsenal fan I know hates him and mocks him in the same way that Heskey has been for years.

We'd never hear the end of it if we signed him.

Infact, we'll probably never hear the end of it just from this thread being created!!

    Anyone but him, please.

I'd rather give Gio a punt than him. he's been sitting around for years doing nothing, and being as he's in the last year of his contract, its time for him to get off his arse. Bendter on the other hand, could be useful as a squad player, but could be a disruptive influence, judging by his performances in the media about being one of the worlds best strikers etc.

I quite like him personally, and in the current climate would be open to the idea of him joining us. He's like a white Adebayor in many ways. Good footballer, able to play the game by holding the ball up high up the pitch. Not prolific, like Ade. Bit of an attitude and soon to be an ex-goon. Lots of Prem experience and still only 24..

regardless of whether it's him or not, a player of his quality is not what we need right now. we've made the mistake of signing players that just aren't quite good enough. we know the standard required to get us to where we want to be, and bendtner isn't up there, so lets not make that mistake again!

Exactly. If we are to go back to the days when we were ok with finishing about 6th or 7th, then Bendtner might be an acceptable option, but those days are thankfully in the past, and to sign him now would be a backward step imo.

Its not about whether he is the quality of where we want to be but more about whether he is of better quality than what we have. As we are seemingly going to be playing 1 up then i'd say he is better than Defoe. I feel Defoe is going to be a casualty of the system

I keep feeling David Bentley's presence in my mind. Our quality ex-Arsenal players are players they didn't necessarily want to get rid of (Gallas, Ade). Unfortunatly, Bendter is a player they can't seem to wait to get rid of. And I'd put money on him ending up at a Sunderland or Fulham. Not a Spurs/Liverpool/Newcastle. Bad idea.

It would probably rule out any chance Adebayor signing again!

We have to do something to make it obvious we aren't just waiting around for Adebayor (even if that is what we are doing). The threat we might sign Bendtner might be just the thing to get the deal going again.
    What is Rasiak doing now?
