http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/photos-and-videos/videos/norwich-legend-bryan-gunn.html Sounds like he still misses us, forget his management skills, he´s still worth remembering as a player.
Without doubt a Norwich City legend even after his spell as manager where he was obviously out of his depth. Although, if it weren't for him, we might not be singing Grant Holt's name every week. Great find, RBF.
Thanks for that RBF! The word legend is often applied too easily, but with Gunny, it is very apt, his strength of character to keep playing during his worst possible nightmare will always endear him to those of us privileged enough to have witnessed his time with us! Gunny, we love you!
Great to see Gunny doesn't hold any contempt towards the club following his sacking, i did wonder if he left the area because of ill feeling, but clearly from that he doesn't. Still the best keeper we've had in my time at CR.
always was always will be a legend, he was a succesful manager he brought Grant Holt to Carrow Road then handed the reigns to Lambo! Lets remember him for his brilliant goal keeping and trying too head the bar!
3:45 The City Stand Mafia in effect. Gunny was excellent player terrible manager I try to forget that part of career at this club.
I still think he only took the job as manager, because he loved the club so much and might have felt he was letting the club down if he didn't take it.
I'm going to hold back but I think he took up the job partially for ego's sake, but at the same time Doncaster and Munby did sell him up river in the grand scheme of things he was a patsy whilst they hid in shadows. Once again Gunn was a great player but not a good manager and I'll never change that opinion on him.
I have always admired Gunn - not least for the work he did for charity following his daughter's death - but also because he hand big boots to fill as a replacement for Chris Woods and he did so and more. With regard to his time as manager, it should not be overlooked the circumstances in which he got the job, and the chaos around the club due to Roeder's love of loan signings.
