This is a nasty one to get us started

This clip comes from the Israeli league where ex Barcelona youth player commits one of the worst tackles you are ever likely to see on a football pitch.

During a game between Maccabi Haifa and Bnei Yehuda, Ruben Rayos of Haifa flew in to a tackle with two-feet and seriously injured the Israeli player.

I thought the E'to one on Henderson was horrific, but evidently it was okay as the ref was standing two yards away and didn't even think it was worth a booking.

 

Roy Keane should have been banned from any participation in FIFA sponsored events after that IMO.

Definitely deliberate (even Keane admits it); ended the guy's career.

If that was on the street instead of the field Keane would have gone to jail. The fact that Keane got to continue on playing and then go on to manager is just disgusting to me.


I don't know if the guy in the OP was deliberate or just extremely stupid- that does look horrendous- the way that leg is wobbling around, almost certainly career ending.
