What the **** have they been doing pre season?

I'm sorry but Dick has to take some of the blame here. I have no idea how we set up in the first half. Where was Larsson supposed to be playing? We are so unorganised it's unreal. The defence are clueless and frightened. The midfield woeful and unable to create a ****ing decent pass. Wo also have no idea going forward too! Plodding about, give the ball away, run back at half pace and don't bother marking!!!!! Just what have they been working on pre season?? None of them look fit. Up for the fight not one of them. This was the first home game of the season. They were not ****ing bothered. Went a couple of goals down, heads down.

We have the two worst fullback in the league. They are ****ing terrible. PVA is completely lost. The two centre backs! **** me. I never thought I'd say this but bring back o'shea! Bring back brown whilst we are on.

Onto the midfield. Cattermole looks 10 yards off the pace. One nice pass but even he looked uninterested. Seb, what the **** was that? Honestly it was ****ing abysmal. Couldn't pass, couldn't tackle. Didn't want the ball. M'vila, okay he's not fit yet but there was no commanding performance here. Too early to tell.

Up front lens, no understanding with PVA at all. Showed flashes. Better than Wickham? I don't think so.

    Defoe, not good enough.

Fletcher. I ****ing hate him with my life force. He wins **** all in the air, holds **** all up and constantly gives the ball away. Why is this **** getting picked to play in a Sunderland shirt? It's a ****ing embarrassment that he gets a game for us.

Whatmore showed when he came on what every other player on the pitch was lacking.
He held his head up and played with passion and pride. He made ****ing runs into space! Had his hand up demanding the ball! When he got the ball he used it and tried to make things happen. Sadly I missed his goal as I'd had enough after 75 minutes and ****ing trudged off home in the huff.

2 or 3 players to keep them up? Well they need two full backs for a start.

****ing Short out. He's ****ing clueless. Either spend some money or **** off.

    Had e-****ing-nough!

Agreed - they were truly abysmal apart from Watmore. All of them

wasn't the worst ive seen , but it was shocking!

WTF has happened to catts and pva ? I think Dick is asking too much of the fullbacks , any stato know how much ground they cover ?

With the squad we have we have to pack the midfield.

    PAnts

    jones----Jos---kaboul----pva

    Catts

    watmore----mvilla---giach/larson----lens

    a.target man

Defoe is a top striker/poacher but can't lead a line.

The problems are deeply rooted that is a fact, I don't think DA is the man for the job, its too big a task. He has not been backed as we hoped he would and if I was him I would threaten to quit now unless we spend big and clear out this shower who don't give a toss, we have seen the same players failing for the past three or four seasons and they are still the backbone, if that is the appropriate word, of the team. Patching this lot up is not an option.

Since 2009 our net spend on players has been an average of £4.5 million per season.

    This explains a lot.

Think you've made a good point about Dick. I wonder if Ellis will be shocked into action if Dick knocks on his door and says "£50m to strengthen or I'm out of here!"

We constantly surrender the midfield! Catts and m'vila played 5 yards in front of the centre backs, allowing them to completely dominate the midfield areas. I couldn't believe what I was watching. The first goal was so basic it was unreal. A short corner 2-1 and Fletcher wouldn't come out and help. Sure enough they played a 1-2 around (was it lens) got into shooting position without breaking sweat and nobody closing down. All the time in the world to hit it. Pants saves but it rebounds out and bounces of some ****er into the goal. Nothing more than we deserved. It was abysmal defending.

Merson watched last weeks and today's game on Sky and was scathing about the performance. He questioned the players commitment to the manager! After just 2 games!

I couldn't disagree with a single word he said!

Had fulsome praise for Watmore though!

If the lad doesn't start next week I'd be stunned and questioning Eggnog's tactics for the first time!

    Watmore was the onl;y positive.
PDC may have went overboard in his application but its now worth noting almost everything he said is right, Apart from the fans the club is rotten to the core. Players who couldnt give a toss or who are sh*te. I said it before and I will say it again, as pissed as I am, that inc Catts. Him n Seb have been here for a while now and its relegation almost every season. Get rid and start again. Never ever thought I would say it but relegation may be the answer.
Utter utter utter utter f*cking w*nk today. Why should I get ejected or thrown out thru w*nkers not doing what they are paid very handsomely to do.

PS, apologies to you MrRAW for having to watch that sh*te sober today.

PPS, when I wake up sober in the morning I reserve the right to retract this rant.

He has to start surely, infact I'd expect 4-5 changes. I can't believe how under prepared we looked today. Clueless all over the pitch.

Why not given Mandron a run out too? He's been scoring for fun. He's a big lad.

Saw Kevin Ball walking around before the match with some big young players, I'd pick all of them and I don't even know who they were!

We must have a better fullback than PVA at the moment? It comes to something when you sell Phil ****ing Bardsley and it turns out he's streets ahead of what we have now! Are we actually building for the championship? I don't think we have one player who would get in any of the other premier league teams!

Depending on thread' the reason for todays was the fault of ES, Only one person picks the team and chooses the tactics. Last week's performance was a pretty good indicator of what we have in the way of talent and most of that was on display today.

Perhaps, however, I think we'll be going all out to sign the elusive "quality" players that have been mentioned since the end of last season.
There are plenty of players still available and if we manage to sign the players we so desperately need, I would be more than happy to see some of the less committed players we have shown the door and if necessary, pay up their contracts and telling them to do one!

I'm rather drunk now but I'm not going back until Stephen Fletcher has left the club.

Where are all these 'quality' players Dick promised ?, players where frightened to run down the wings and beat the opposition, they could not hold and play the ball, were far too slow, rubbish up front.

    Thank you.
First time I've raised a smile since full time.

Emergency meeting at club tomorrow seemingly.

Followed by a car boot sale in the car park?
