So this seems a decent time to look at this. Who has been the worst PL signing of the season, taking everything into account? The four nominees are: Che Adams, £15m to Saints: Not a single goal so far for the club and despite a few decent performances has justifiably fallen behind Shane Long in the pecking order. Joelinton, £40m to Newcastle: The Brazilian competition winner has managed just one goal in the league this season, although he scored a couple against lower league clubs in the cup. Probably more suited to their neighbours in the 3rd division. Pepe, £70m to Arsenal: Arsenal surprised everyone by paying such a huge fee for a poor mans Aaron Lennon,) and he's done nothing to justify his fee so far. Surely the favourite for this. N'Dombele, £55m to Spurs: Actually has a lot of talent but can't pop to the shops without getting out of breath so worthy of a mention. Poll added, if you want any others then make a case. 2 votes.
Definitely Ndombele I’d be livid if he was our player. He reminds me of Div Maria in terms of effort, but obviously Div Maria had a resale value, NDombele is worth £4m tops. Devastating loss from Levy after spunking £500m extra on his shed. Pepe is utter dogshit as well.
Really they were all pointless as the season gets voided. Every signing wins the poll jointly. Ndombele by a ****ing mile. Pepe seems to try.
Joelinton is absolute dogshit, but they didn’t pay £40m for him either. The figure suggested includes his entire wages over his contract, fees, agents fees, the lot. He was about £18m.
Pepe cost a lot and took some time to settle but has shown a lot of raw talent and is now finding his feet. 24 league games, 4 goals and 6 assists, so almost at a goal or assist per 2 games which isn’t bad. Includes a goal against Utd and assist against Spurs. And he’s grabbed some europa/cup goals as well including an amazing free kick. Hasn’t played at the level you might expect for £70m but has been a decent signing.
Ndombele can reach levels once he finds his bollox With the others...they just aren’t good enough So for that reason I go for N’dombele...he should be doing better
We held them to ransom for sure ... but there is no question that they are currently the in form team in the Prem right now and United's defence is not conceding and he is leading as a captain should ... and only a 'Pool fan would label him 'the worst signing' ... Libby has picked the real ones
Joelinton is not even a league one level footballer, he's absolutely dreadful. We looked significantly better playing Gayle the other day and he's a championship player.
