Brucies just summed it up nicely:

"We're hugely disappointed. I got fined two weeks ago and I don't want to [be fined] again but we had two stonewall penalties in the first half and to send the goalkeeper off summed up the night. It was innocuous.

We played well, Palace didn't create a chance but we go home with nothing.

"People will work it out, Jelavic is pulled down for one penalty and Long is clattered for the second. If they aren't penalties I don't know what are. These are big games and big decisions.

"Referees are paid handsomely to make big calls and he [Roger East] hasn't done that today. To send the goalkeeper off, we are scratching our heads. It's a horrible challenge on him, yes he's reacted but if anything it's a yellow. He hasn't turned around and whacked him.

"I go away and pay fines and I'll probably get another one but I only speak the truth. It's time for the referee to come out and face the cameras. When penalties are as blatant as that we have to be aggrieved."

What are you talking about, apart from the Long penalty which he was 30 yards away and Long went to the ground far to easily what else didn't he give us. Stop looking for excuses and blame that lack of creativity in the team. THE REAL REASON WHY WE LOST!!

The sad thing is if it was Liverpool V Man U or something he'd be 'rested' at the weekend but this will be ignored because it's only Hull.

And Pulis will be on telly moaning about some minor free kick his team doesn't get at the weekend, ignoring the three points he was just handed tonight.

All this **** about formations, lineups etc is irrelevant. We should have had the first goal from the spot, we immediately went 1-0 down. We can't be expected to overturn one goal leads as a matter of course. The first goal was vital today and the ref has completely ****ed us tonight. It's far too easy to say if the players lined up in a slightly different pattern we might have pulled it back but most teams would struggle against a 1-0 goal head start, never mind us.

I don't get how you can think neither of them where penalties, they clearly where. We do lack creativity, but we had two penalties not given, people can say thats not why we lost, buf you have no idea what would have happened if we had those penalties, neither do i. Yet you can't deny it has changed the game, hugely and had a huge impact.

^^^This all day long! We are getting some shockers from the refs....Spurs, Swansea, tonight. This has just cost us a £25K fine but it had to be said and I applaud SB for saying it.

    We got what we deserved.

No point having two new strikers when your creativity is Thudd, Livermore and Meyler. Rosie never got forward and Elmo cannot cross.

Brucey needs to get rid of the 532 and move back to either a 442 or a 4231, but the latter looks hard to do given the recent spend on strikers.

We need width, but it seems Brucey doesnt trust Livermore and Thudd in a 442 formation.

Maybe we need Brady back for width on the left.

It's only Spurs and they play 442.

    Harper (unless we appeal Mac)
    Rosie
    McShane
    Davies
    Fig
    Elmo
    Thudd
    Livermore
    Boyd / Brady
    Jela
    Long

Standard manager chat ...throwing up decoy grumbles to mask his own team's failings.

    Just saying like.

The Long incident was not a penalty. Never in a month of Sundays. I've not seen the Jelavic one as stream didn't get up and running

I could see why the ref wouldn't give the Long one, I could also see why he would. Yes Long was looking for the penalty, but that doesn't mean it isn't one.

If it was Suarez for Liverpool would the ref have given the pen ? If it's Shane Long for Hull City ?

Pulls's thugs got away with murder. The treatment McGregor got was shocking. He should appeal his red card....he was offered no protection from the weak referee. Not sure about the penalties but most of the team seemed convinced. Can't stand Pulis but he certainly gets results....mostly 1-0. Need alcohol!!

Commentators on Sky match choice criticised Long for 'playing for it' and said it shouldn't have been given. FFS he got his leg sandwiched between Gabbidon's, how the **** was he meant to stay on his feet?

Yet when Suarez actually dives without contact it's 'clever play' and they criticise the keeper for falling for it. ****ing unbelievable.

McGregor didn't get any protection from the ****s. That guy who fouled him (O'Keefe was it?) was desperate to hurt someone, he flew in on Elmo then chased the rebound to jump in again on McGregor. If McGregor had rolled around instead of being annoyed he would have been sent off for that. McGregor gave a little line-dance step towards him (and missed) and that's violent conduct. Football is just ridiculous sometimes. Refs stick to some rules and not others, but they don't even seem to know why or what their purpose is. He should be protecting people from foul play, not desperately looking for ways to please a crowd who were booing McGregor. Cheating is promoted. Honesty and passion are punished.
