As I'm sure you can all now tell, I love a good poll, and I also love a good moan. So here's my latest one, who is the worst player you have seen play for us in recent years?

In terms of a money to performance ratio it's easily Hasselbaink (sp?)

McCormack. Couldn't pick his nose let alone pick a pass to a Charlton player.

In terms of sheer uselessness, it has to be Pawel Abbott. He scored a brilliant goal in PP's last match, but that was like putting a truffle on a dog poop.

Piggybaink, although Faye runs him a very close second...

Shocked and horrified to see Chris Dickson' name included BTW - our loss is Nea Salamis Famagusta's gain.

PE, your way with words would shame Oscar Wilde at his most sublime. :emoticon-0140-rofl:

I will take that as a compliment, Tewks.

Not sure Oscar Wilde would? Bless his heart.

    Definitely, PE!

Here's one of my favourites from Wilde -

"I think that God, in creating Man, somewhat overestimated his ability." :emoticon-0100-smile

JFH was by far the worst player of recent memory. I remember Richard Murray stating that after 2 years of courtship we finally got our man....I wonder if was still as buoyed by his signature after he threw half the squad wages his way.

    Indeed a fine quote, Tewks.

    For Charlton supporters -

Suffering is one very long moment. We cannot divide it by seasons. (Oscar Wilde)

I was at Sparrows Lane (the saturday we signed him) watching the U18's and one of the coaches turned to the other and said "I hear the lad from West Ham [Frank Nouble] is starting up front this afternoon - a big unit to cause problems with their defence" <laugh> Did nobody watch him play prior to us signing him on loan? <yikes>

It's been a long list of flops these last few years, I guess you have to separate the expensive, highly paid flops like JFH from the non league flops like Dickson. Players not on that list include Varney (for £2.5m) , Andy Gray (£1m)

But worse than them, I can't believe you didn't mention Izale McLeod!
