I return from the SOL with a heavy heart and totally embarrassed despite the scoreline The team tonight lacked professionalism, ambition and desire and were very poor throughout The new boys Ustari/Vergini did what they had to do and weren't really troubled Diakhite was a basic mop up operation and quickly dissolved any of their attacks Roberge was playing as a makeshift left back and was alright Celutska was totally dire Giacc/Mavrias seemed lively at first but the slowly died off and made errors throughout, Mavrias terrified to cross the ball into the area Catts basically kept the middle together and linked up play Ba looked a little annoyed and did average HOWEVER The sooner Larsson and Altidore piss off somewhere the better Larsson was utterly, and i mean completely useless and seriously needs to be questioned why he warrants £35k p/w Altidore managed to win one header all night against non-league opposition...(shall leave you to make your own mind up as to what that means) Regardless, as said, a total lack of respect to Kidderminster Catastrophically failed in any attempt of trying to prove why they should be in the first team Ustari - 6 Celutska - 3 Vergini - 6 Diakhite - 7 ( * ) Roberge - 6 Giacc - 5 Mavrias - 6 Catts - 6 Larsson - 2 Ba - 6 Altidore - 1 Gardner - 5 Colback - 5 Borini - 6 (Did more in a few minutes than Altidore did in 90)
Yes thats fair enough we did However as said, the total lack of desire/ambition/professionalism was a disgrace Not only for the paying fans but to the opposition
Wasn't expecting a great performance but **** it, we're in the 5th round, however I agree with the marks for altidore and Larsson who as usual we're both abysmal
2 players who have never played in England, 5 which have hardly played. 10 changes overall to Wednesday's team. Semi final win hangover. We won, the 2 new players got some experience. Thats all I care about.
As someone who has been a defender of Altidore for most of the season (as I think his link up play and willingness can't be ignored and set a good tone up front) it would have been good to see him get a goal or two today. The issue was that he never really looked like he was going to and its hard to see him doing so against better opposition. If he continues looking that toothless for the rest of the season then he has to go in the summer.
and bugger, man c were losing 2 0 to Watford until the 60 minute mark. Under MON or PDC we would have lost to Kidderminster
This and the fact we had something like 75% of the possession; 26 shots; 6 on target (to their 1) and were camped in the opposition half that much we have received a rebate from the council for poll tax payments. It wasn't pretty and at times it was poor but we won very easily and are in the 5th round despite all the reasons above. I think it puts to bed my thoughts on Altidore as he was again completely pointless as our strike today against the postmen and joiners of the non league circuit. He was bossed and out muscled by part time defenders today and Larsson gave the ball away and looked sluggish against the same set up. Their days here are surely numbered and I expect many changes again in the summer.

I don't see the problem. You guys already knew that outside your first 11 is a load of utter guff. About 14/20 clubs in the premier league have the same problem, including us. You won and rested some of the important players. I'd call that a success
We're in the hat for the 5th round and that's the thing. A 25,000 crowd is very decent for non-league oppo and some of the newer lads got a run out. The Kiddermnster players would be right up for a day out at a PL club, so a potential banana skin was avoided. After OT on Wednesday this was bound to be a bit of a come-down (Lawro the twat had us down for a draw!) so overall not a bad day, if a rather uninspiring one.
I am now 61 and have not played football for 20 years..but fcuk me I still think I could have done a better job than Dozy..and as for Larsson...I have a 6 month old grandson he has just learned to roll over..so I reckon he could do Seb's job better. I hope Poyet will bring back Wickham (who actually I do not rate that highly but he is much better than Dozy) plus we do bring in a decent striker please please please
Im a big fan of altidore, but after today, im seriously concerned. Wickham would have had a real go, and at times has shown real promise and desire against PL opposition. Can't even say the same with altidore. i dont know whether is service, or whether were playing the right style for him, but i can see Gus shipping him out at some point in the summer
Not keen on the negativity after a win, by the reserves, against a pumped up non-league side, without breaking sweat. That said, I screamed no when we went for Altidore, and tragically, as a striker, he's even worse than I thought. Not actually a useless footballer, just a horrifically incapable striker.
eventually all on here, like you and myself included, have given up on this lump of lard, its not like he hasn't had the games to settle, Borinis twice as good with much less playing time. i've weighed up all the reasons people put forward, however in a sea of turds, its easy to spot the biggest stinker
