    Dear all,

Who is the worst Norwich City player you have ever seen play in a game you actually attended?

My vote by a street is Tony Spearing! Utterly hopeless. Followed me when I moved to Leicester and there became a byword for stupidity and hapless defending. The Foxes fanzine once blamed him for thei non appearance in the playoffs! That is some record

Dishonourable mentions also go to Willie Young and Dean Coney

Mark Fotheringham, Dean Coney, Raymond De Waard, Jean Yves De Blassis, Fernado Derveld, David Carney, Antonie Sieberski.

One special mention his rated by some sections of our support but was atrocious at times Gary Doherty, not the worst I could at least think of 50 worse players but he happened to have such a long run in the team.

The Autralian goal keeper, Theoclitis I think.

So utterly innefective that I remember thinking that I was sure he would be subbed at half time. Awful.

The Coventry game he swore at all of us in the Barclay end, we went ballistic people were trying to get at him. In that very game I remember us barely having any possession it was diabolical we couldn't get out of our half, they won 2-0 I remember Elliot Ward scoring a penalty for them.

Does anyone remember Carl Bradshaw? A total nutter of a defender, think you may have got him from Sheffield United, a red card looking for somewhere to happen, didn't he do time for biting off a taxi driver's finger, or something?

    A real character though...<laugh>

I always thought Chris Llewellyn was terrible. But Fotheringham was probably the worst all round.
John Hartson was terrible for us but only played about 4 times, there's a player who was overweight.

I can't sit here and read someone slating Chris Llewellyn. He scored on the very first Norwich match I saw vs Stockport County and I'm sure he did in the second game against Walsall. That guy was an instinctive goalscorer whenever I watched him. ;)

The Rodent era had a number of candidates. Juan Velasco, saw him play his debut against Coventry where he was so bad he was subbed in the first half. Jon Otsemobor (who was also ****) managed to keep Velasco out the team which typifies just how bad he was. Worst thing is he has 5 Spain caps.

Putney ! No way ! He gave us some great performances , I know he was a binner but we got a great deal there swapping him for Dixie. Putney was a ledge! You ask Gunny they had lots of fun together?

Yep Fotheringham for me as well I am afraid. There must be others but none stick out at the moment (at least not on a regular basis)

Barnett during one of the Villa (1-4)/Luton (0-1) cup loss matches. They were all so awful that in my mind they have blended into one. Take your pick!

Of the matches that I haven't seen, surely noone can come close to Theokolitis, the GK from that 1-7 defeat against Colchester?
