He needs more game time, I hope he comes good in the last half of the season or else I can see him going out on loan if we were to get promoted.

Did not see the game yesterday, but still believe he will come good.
He hasn't really got the chance to prove himself in the squad and I would like to see him get 2-3 games from start at least.
I can only imagine that he was getting jack **** from the midfield to work with yesterday. Gets a good goal however and with Elmo and Brady's distribution from the wings he'll hopefully deliver.

    Seen enough of him now.
    He is ****e.
After seeing him for 45mins against Blackpool I was hoping he would be good enough to cause Orient a few problems, he wasn't.
Seen him play 135 mins in the last two games and sad to say he just isn't upto the level we are at.
Bruce has got this one wrong, we can't wait for him to adapt any longer.
We need 3 strikers if you ask me.

Working off scraps yesterday (midfield lacking creativity and very few crosses from Cameron Stewart and Rosie) so not really a fair reflection of his ability as a striker. He had one half decent attempt with a shot just wide of the post in the first half, managed one very good effort in the last few minutes with a sharp shot through a crowd of players that produced an excellent save when the keeper pushed it over the bar and then a very neat header for the equaliser. DOn't write him off yet!

He's obviously got quality on the ball. As Chazz says no one else would have scored that header in our team and his header against Ipswich was good too. But even though he's a good header he isn't a target man. He isn't brave, strong or aggressive but he can get on the end of crosses if he loses his man. Yesterday he didn't have a lot to work with but he struggled to hold onto it with his back to goal.

We can't rely on him to magically come good now, we need to sign a striker this month to add to what we've got.If Prossy has a contribution to make between now and the end of the season that's a bonus but we'd be naiive to expect it to happen.

    No, thats it for me.
Can't keep waiting for him to do the biz, he's been here getting on for 6 months now.
We need two first 11 strikers and a back up, Simmo and Proschwitz are not good enough for a Promotion push.

Agree with this, we have give him time and it's still not happening, lets sell him to Leicester and have done with it.

If we are serious about promotion we need to buy two proven goal scorers as said above even Simmo isn't good enough.

Simmo and Prossy out, FC and Graham in will do nicely <ok>

I agree with this, our midfield created nothing yesterday he had three chances, blazed one over, made the keeper make a save and then scored.

Someone posted some stats on another post showing that goals/minute played he was second in the list behind Aluko. Yesterdays goal probably puts him as our most prolific scorer this season based on minutes on the pitch.....

I couldn't make it yesterday, but given the wide range of opinions the jury is clearly still out on Prossy. From what I've seen (and I made the Ipswich game) I think he needs real game time and the same chances as Simmo to get the service from Elmo and Brady et al. Before anyone says it - yes I know we need goals and we need another striker ASAP! However, there is something there, I'm pretty sure he'll come good.

O/T Whilst I mention the word jury, as far as worst headlines are concerned Chazz, I think the admittedly non-football headline 'Freddie Starr ate my Hamster' might turn out to be rather more than apocryphal and possibly a rather nightmarish reminder for the mad scouser once he's finally up before the beak!!

Thank goodness you aren't in charge of the team then. Proschwitz is more than good enough, you often see strikers have a crappy first season and then shine in their second. If you think he's not worth waiting for then that's your problem, but to sack him off completely and buy 3 new strikers is absurd. He's going to be an impact player this year, which judging by what we've seen, is a role that suits him well. We clearly need a goalscorer, that much is clear, but we don't need 3 of them and we aren't going to buy 3 of them because there'd be a solid striker sat on the bench and they wouldn't fancy coming here to do that.

A strike force of Aluko, Proschwitz, Simpson and FC is more than good enough to get us up. With goals chipped in from Brady, Koren and Quinn (plus the defense) we will have more than enough.

We've paid money for Meyler and Brady, both good signings. We just need ONE striker and a cover goalie and we'll be set.

    That is bollocks.
Simpson is nowhere near a top end championship striker, if he was he'd be in double figures by now.
    Proschwitz?? An IMPACT player??
In an ideal world we do need 3 new strikers, now it won't happen but that is still a fact.

How is he not 'doing the biz' when he plays his first 90 minutes for **** knows how long and scores? You really think goalscorers play well every game?

Don't all strikers need a run of at least 10 games to bed into the side. Also (shoot me down if I'm wrong) but aren't there strikers who can perform in the PL but not the Championship and vice-versa, so he may be the answer next season

Proschwitz is a decent striker to have come on from the bench and to get game time in cup games. Hope he scores again in the replay
