Off Topic Worst Hangover

Just reading about the hangovers on the Takeover Rumour thread made me think of the worst one I've had.

It was after drinking Tequilla. It was the old routine of licking the salt off your hand, knocking back the shot and then sucking on an orange. It was in someone's house so the measures were large to put it mildly! After 4 or 5 rounds of that I could see double and it was only 8 o'clock at night. That was about 30 years ago and I still can't drink the stuff, even the smell of it makes me ill.

I remember drinking Ouzo when I was on Corfu a long time ago in a great little Taverna near Pontikonisi. Had the best Moussaka and the Ouzo went down like pop, none of us knew how we got home and I felt like my skull was too tight and it was like that for 2 days.
For a while after the holiday I got a taste for Pernod after a few beers, I'm glad I kicked it cos it's deadly.

I don't know if it counts as a hangover because I was still rat arsed but one that stands out for me was a holiday to the Greek islands as a young man, it was the last day and there was a party at the hotel with free booze and I was as drunk as I've ever been.

The memorable part though was that we were up at about 6am and on a speedboat shortly after, the boat guy got me to stand up at the front because there was no space to sit down and christ, how I didn't throw up all over the place I don't know. Took a massive amount of willpower.

Had a bad hangover that was tolerable ish as long as I didn't move off the ground floor. Higher it got, the worse I felt.
That effect lasted 24 hrs, hangover 48.

I had a similar experience with tequila 1978
However my worst was early 80s woke up after skin full went to work got my work load and went home straight back to bed till 2 pm
Went back to work and did a little

Would've been the promotion season mid 90s. I was arseholed in Pzazz on the dancefloor. DJ shouted something out about Sunderland fans and I still had my season ticket in my pocket, so started waving it about. The DJ gave me a bottle of piss (allegedly champagne) and I necked it. Ended up spewing in the Pzazz kitchen/bogs and then all over my da when I made it back home. Couldn't move for the whole of the next day. Just had to lie in bed and stare at the ceiling for the whole day and felt wretched the day after as well.

remember the defeat to Charlton in the playoffs i was gutted drank in the Lambton in Philadelphia, cant remember how i got home but was in bed for 2 days never again

Ha ha same as me mate but I drank a bottle and a half of whisky luckily I just slept for a day and a half out lasses was drinking the cocktail s in Kos after being warned not to she spent two days under a towel on the beach because her eyes hurt
