Though my post was meant as a laugh, in terms of talent we have on the pitch compared to what was produced, it is certainly up there!
Kidderminster away lost 1-0 (2002) seen much worse scoreline against but the whole day was ****ing depressing.
Losing 2-0 at home to Brighton who only had 9 men on the pitch. Give me time and I could probably think of a shed load more over the last 46 years!
also kidderminster away, 2001. we lost 3-0 and were crap.richard sneekes, the worst city player i saw in 24 seasons, was particularly abysmal. i couldn't even blame the referee. we were just dreadful. never ever been so angry after a match.
3-0 down to Southend at half time at Roots Hall in one of Peter Taylors early games in charge around 2003 wasn't a high point. Although think City bought Leon Cort some time after.
Can't remember who it was against but there was one were Mike Quigley came on after about 80 mins to help see a game out. We then conceded and he got subbed back off a few minutes later. Felt for him. How many games was Dolan in charge for? Probably about 75% of those.
Burnley 2-0 City 2009 Ghost penalty, brilliant goal ruled out, Geo ridiculously sent off, the most annoyed I’ve ever been at a game.
I’d put most of those games out of my mind, thanks for the reminders chaps, now I’m even more depressed!
I thought it was against Shrewsbury away but having just checked the H2H for the date, have found out it can’t have been. Early - mid 90’s I remember being in the front row of an away end, old standing on concrete steps style, getting soaked by a storm and utterly terrified of the fork lightning raging overhead, whilst city were getting spanked 4-0. I remember asking my dad if we could never go again after that, I think I suffered some mild form of PTSD
