Friday afternoon...not much doing in work....come across this. http://ffwtbol.co.uk/2010/11/29/the-10-worst-cardiff-city-players-ever/ Agree...any others?
Agree with most of those ones that i saw myself. Cameron Toshack , Morrys Scott hopeless. Kevin Lloyd - maybe the worst full time left back. Have to disagree strongly with Steve White. Good goalscorer , past his best when with us but was still decent. Andy Kerr was garbage. When young fans these days call a player rubbish I normally tell them they should have seen some of the players ive seen. However Eddie Johnson was as bad as any striker ive seen in a City shirt. Absolute garbage. I think Morrys Scott was better than him. As Eddie was on massive wages id make him our all time worst player. Others - Tony Carrs , Carlton Leonard , Gary Plumley (GK) , Simon Walton , Paul McCloughlin , Chris Marustick.
Forgot all about Simon Walton. Eddie was pretty poor but a crowd favourite. What about David Forde in goal, he was pretty poor. Mind you I thought Gary Stevens was pretty poor but only saw him a few times in the late seventies. Remember his short lived partnership with Ronnie Moore which must've produced some goals...
One from the '70's - Alan Foggon, signed from Newcastle, 1 goal in 17 games. Foggon? Foggoff more like!!! Never mind Eddie what about the more recent "legends" J Lloyd Samuel and Kelvin Ethuhu, not to mention Stephen Bywater. Unless Velikonja comes up with something if given the chance he could well also join the list
Of the recent ones what about 'the beast' Parkin, Keogh (although he seems half decent when I've seen him playing for other clubs) & Dimitri Costopoulus (excuse the spelling), Taiwo (though I suppose he was just a punt)
Good shout Whiffle, I'd forgotten about Dimi Dropalotopus and the others. In fairness Keogh wasn't that bad and scored the odd goal or two (it was only 2 actually), ironically one was a good header against his current employers to win us the game.
Naylor was dreadful under Dave Jones, though I thought he was OK last season when called upon (not very often I know).
robbie fowler what a complete and utter mercenary.....did he play??.... agree with hilts andy kerr wow what a shocker>>>>the boy never played the game before putting the city shirt on im sure of it>>>>some kids were better players kicking a cup about in the lowest part of the bob bank if the truth be known
My personal favourite - Tony Capaldi, the master of marking empty space. Though I can think of worse.
I am going to throw a name out there Jorn Swinkendorf excuse the spelling but about an 8ft tall German who had the unbelievable knack of flicking the ball on everywhere but ON!!
We bought a pair together Whitely and McClean and then there was Kurt Nogan....oh, and another mention for Farren Weeney!
