The post-match concensus on the Sunderland board was that we were by far the worst team they have played this season; one poster even went as far as saying we were the worst team to play at SoL in five seasons! Are we that bad? Who is the worst team WE have played so far.....and the best? For me, it's Sunderland and Citeh.
Can't really get away with saying that Swansea were not the best team we have faced so far this season. I'd probably agree with Sunderland being the worst, but thought Spurs were also quite dire until we gifted them a win.
I doubt they really think that - probably just pissed of and embarrassed that they were largely outplayed by this seasons whipping boys.
We were easily better than they were. Its just a defence mechanism to get away from their own team being so bad. We would have been hammered if we were truly the worst team they played.
Hardly, they were very poor and MON looks like he's on the way to a psychiatric hospital. Villa will be a better measure of where we stand.
Yes, and they weren't trying to say that they were better than us, that's the worry Swords. Do you really feel that Swans were the best team we've played? In that game, we were on top until Green's howler and then fell to pieces, but it could have been so different. In fairness to them, last night's win was very impressive.
They scored in under 10minutes so I don't think Green can really be blamed for the total capitulation that day. Personally I thought they were one of the best teams I've seen this season, they moved the ball at such pace on the counterattack that more often than not we were chasing shadows. Yes they had a good day and we had a bad one, but thought they had an effective game plan that they executed pretty clinically.
It was us against Saints for me, Reading reserves got a win off us in the cup and they also got a point as well.
TBH i though WBA looked ok as did Southampton..but i was drunk at the time... Worst has to be Sunderland.
