He gets a lot of stick. Not being very good isn't all his fault. I'd almost feel bad for him, if footballers didnt earn in a week more people can in several years.
Aston Villa have agreed a fee of £8 million with Man Utd for Tom Cleverly. Man U will pay £6 mill upfront with £2 mill in add ons.
Welbeck looked good playing for us and is **** at utd. Cleverly looked good 2 or 3 seasons ago and has got steadily worse. same for Evans. Are these players bad, or have utd just got good at wrecking young players careers ?
its a good point. they had that golden generation with beckham, schoals, goggs and the nevilles but how many more quality players have come out of their acadamy and went on to be a success?
Players improve with game time, that's the only way they learn to adapt and become consistent. There are also several players (and managers) who can't handle the constant scrutiny put on them at such high profile clubs. I hope it gives him the environment he needs to make the most of his talent.
