Does Adebayors miss against Sunderland rank as the worse miss of the season? For me it just underpins how bad he actually is. I am aware you lot will probably shoot me down, but he is the only pro I know that can control a ball further than I can kick it
i wonder if you could get your feet up that high and get your feet other the ball. the ball was rising and he tryed to get over the ball...... how about defoe miss. that was worse. why did he lash at it. he had no defenders near him and he hits it straight at the keeper
See this is what confuses me about Spurs fans. A lot of you have issues with Defoe yet give him a run in the team and you will get 20 goals from him. Defoe will miss bucket loads but because he takes so many chances, he converts a high number. Adebayor doesn't. No disrespect to your views on could I get my feet that high, I aint a professional footballer earning tens of thousands of pounds a week. If I was, I think I coudl bundle in a goal from a yard or two out with nothing in front of me
I think defoes miss was worse personally...and the missed header by the west ham player was worse than both. There was the miss by the gooner player v bradford which is probably the worse miss of the season ...
Adebayor is suffering from a lack of confidence which means he is trying a little too hard. A tad softer the ball would have been in the net. He will get over that. The positive is that he was in the right position. As for Defoe, nobody will get every shot. But if you shoot between the posts and under the bar you might score, which he did. Anywhere else had however hard your shot you will miss save deflections. Roll on Reading.
My thoughts exactly when I read this and another couple of 'new' threads late last night - from a Bristol Rovers fan.....
Let's see! He is now talking as a Spurs fan on the Transfer Thread. Similar thoughts to this OP have been posted by established Spurs posters so not a cut & dried wind up IMO.
It aint a wind up. I support two clubs. One I go to on a regular basis, Spurs and one I supported and played for as a kid (my hometown club) Bristol Rovers. The site said I could only pick one. As I joined I entered via Bristol Rovers as my intention was to ask WTF is going on there. Didn't realise it was bigger and hence now also in Spurs bit. Aint a wind up thread. I genuinely am not a fan of Adebayor, never have been. My gooner mates (yes sorry I have some) never liked him when he was there either. For me, he tries hard to get contracts as soon as he is signed up it all goes down hill. Same thing here. Whilst I am not saying my dislike for the man is grounded or could be substantiated, I just don't like him. Maybe its because of his heavy Arsenal routes, I don't know. Either way, I do think it was a terrible miss. Just because I say something negative, people shouldn't question my motives, surely like the rest of you, I am entitled to a view.
Sorry musiceyz, sadly we are always cautious when a new poster arrives because we have 1 or 2 serial WUM's who return under different names. I did reserve my judgement as you can see above, that's also why I asked you about your support of Spurs. You are of course very welcome to express your views, whatever they are, and I hope you will continue to do so. Welcome to the Spurs board, you are past the bouncers!
Welcome on board, musiceyz Everyone is entitled to their opinion - but as Spurf has indicated, the have been a couple of notable wind-ups which put a few of us on the 'alert'!!
Ah got you now! I need to learn forum lingo, its been a long time since I been on one. I aint gonna say I am never gonna wind-up, its all part of the banter, but its not why I am here Thanks for the welcomes too
I never thought you were a wum .... Just a guy with a bad opinion Only messing...welcome to the board...its friendly and a laugh
Mate seriously, I am more than happy for people to think my opinions are wrong or poor. And as I have openly said, I have never like Ade so it will always be biased on that one. But it was a piss poor effort from him
