Im not sure, but its close, is our home record under Kenny this season worse than under Roy last season People need to awaken from the Dalgish love in IMO if we dont get top 4 after £40m net spend , we need someone else, you may think Im harsh, but thats the world we live in One of Rafas weaknesses was making subs to late at 60 mins ( 1st one ), Kenny leaves it even effin later, does he realise that we are allowed to make 3 subs Lets not forget Kenny spent £35m on Carroll, £20m on Downing. That alone could argue is a offence worthy of losing your job We aint unlucky, when you hit the bar 2 games in a row , that unlucky, when you do it game after game after game after game after game after game, Thats cos ur not good enough People seem to be ACCEPTING mediocrity because Kenny is manager, and its really annoying.£40M net plus 6th last year, should mean a CL palce this year, we at the mo have no hope of CL,and if we dont get it, Kenny will be very lucky to keep his job
Anything less than 4th after £40m net spend ISNT GOOD ENOUGH And I think the owners may agree with me
I would disagree, you are entitled to your opinion of course. However you stated on another thread "we are Liverpool". We stick by our players and managers and give them time, it's frustrating at the moment but hang in there Kenny is a club legend and as you know will always have the best interest of the club at heart. Lots of us are frustrated but sticking together is the best course of action at the moment. Keep the faith mate.
Im not saying do anythin now, the end of the season is for that, but whether its Kenny or not, the manager is making loads of mistakes, mistakes that other managers wouldnt get away with Carroll £35m, its embarassing, would you have spent that money on him.Never in a million years,if I was manager in Jan I would have said to Torres , your stayin pal whether you want to or not, like Spurs did 2 Modric, like United did to Rooney. The only chance of top 4 is if we sign another "gem "( or 2) in january Mata and Cazorla both available, but Kenny gets Hendo n Downing, absolutely barking mad,Kenny has gotta raise his game considably in the transfer market IMO
I agree that Kenny should not be invincible because he is the "King", you can't complain without someone condemning you as disloyal or not a 'real fan', it is like as if you were a German speaking out against Hitler or a North Korean speaking out against Kim Jong Il. The target for this year set out by FSG was top 4, however if we don't reach that I don't think Kenny's position would be under threat. But if he doesn't get top 4 next season then I hope this does not tarnish his wonderful reputation with the fans. It's like the saying..."You either die the hero...or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain". I would prefer to see Kenny retire whilst remaining in all our hearts rather than be shown the door out of the Club if targets were not met. Anyway...we have 20 games left to improve and fight our cause. Edit: FYI I am not comparing Kenny to Hitler or Kim Jong Il.
Roy Hodgson's home record in the first half of the season (August - December) - 17 pts in 9 games Kenny Dalglish's home record in the first half of this season (August - December) - 14 pts with 1 less game played If we beat Newcastle on the 30th they will have equal records, but Kenny will be unbeaten and his overall performances will have been much more impressive. He has had cash to spend unlike Hodgson though so we should take that into account. Its the away record that's changed the most. Kenny in 9 games away - 16 pts Hodgson in 9 games - 5 pts
Food for thought, we were 3 pts off the relegation zone at this point last season under Hodgson, we are 3 pts off a champions league spot under Kenny. Quite a difference, eh
never been a kenny fan. i grew to lov rafa's lfc. surely lfc deserve a modern manager. fsg should thank kk for his stabilizing role and pay him off!
We're playing the best football we've played in years, dont concede many goals and create alot of chances. On the other hand there have been a few bad signings (we dont know how much is down to the manager and how much down to Comoli). Clearly our attacking players are not of the standard of other teams at the top but we are a far better team than last year and just 1 or 2 players could complete our team (if they have the ability to put ball in net).
I think overall, we're playing very well. Nice, fast, one touch passing at times, we keep the ball better, we're defensively solid, we create more chances than everyone else in the league (or at least up there with the best). Kenny's still got the magic for getting players playing well. What I think he lacks, is the knowledge in the transfer market, but isn't this Comolli's specialisation? Sure, we improved the squad on last year, but it's still an average squad with a few gems tossed in. I think it's beyond a point where we can simply say we're unlucky. Man Utd won 5-0 today against a team we managed a draw. Someone can put chances away and someone can't...we need better this January, I hope DC's been busy. I think Kenny's job is safe, but I would expect JWH to push more for Comoli making more decisions on transfers and let Kenny just manage the team
For ****s sake even if his points tally at home is better, i doubt its the same overall. Do you guys not remember how bad it was under Roy? Some "fans" do make me wonder sometimes. Plastics ahoy me thinks.
kk could have been an ideal manager but his ego often pulls him down. we all know how he snubbed maxi earlier this season and only brought him on now after he has realized that he is the only sensible player infront of goal.plus maxi's goals gave him his 3 yrs contract. against blackborn and infront of the kop he played all his boys except coates to feed his ego. it is time somebody tells him to forget his own records and focus on the now.
