We had decent chances to win games against Hull and Coventry and to take the lead against Derby But because we don’t take good opportunities when we create them we’re throwing points away Had chances been taken in those 3 games alone we might have been around 5 points better off than we are now and we’d be somewhere around the top 6 not 16th I just don’t think we’ve got the quality or tenacity in the team
He’s right, in pretty much every game this season, we’ve started well and been on top, but not finished chances. Even in our back to back 3-0 defeats it was the same. I don’t think we’re far away, but equally time is running out for him and these excuses. We need to turn these draws into wins.
'I'm confident' - Liam Manning calls for patience amid Bristol City's struggles in front of goal Bristol City’s struggles in front of goal were once again present during Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Cardiff City 'I'm confident' - Liam Manning calls for patience amid Bristol City's struggles in front of goal - Bristol Live (bristolpost.co.uk) 'Liam Manning has called for patience over Bristol City’s forward line as the Robins’ struggles in front of goal were clear to see' First it was missed opportunities and boos, next day it's confidence and patience requests, it's getting worse than coronation street, I really am beginning to think there is something seriously wrong down the gate, the next 2 away games results will be a real test for all of us.
I think we’ve endured years of poor ownership and mismanagement on a massive scale even if it was done with the right intentions Where other smaller clubs have flourished we are still floundering around with no obvious plan and it’s a terrible waste of what could be.

What you posted is absolutely true Angelic. No argument here. What I WOULD say though is that there are a lot of clubs in the same boat - fans who feel that their club should have done better. There’s only room for 3 teams to get promoted out of the whole group in the division. Most fans want their teams to challenge at the top and mostly it’s only the likes of Leeds, Burnley and Sheffield United that can do it. They have their parachute payments. Occasionally an ‘outsider’ gets a look in (Luton, Blackpool etc) but the Championship is 75% predictable imho. You get 2 promotion spots occupied by former prem teams, with the rest of us fighting for the third one.
In my football a conscious lifetime I’ve seen little Luton promoted to the top flight twice which is one better than we’ve accomplished since 1960 I’ve also seen the likes of Carlisle, Swindon, Barnsley, Blackpool etc all reach the top division As has been reported previously, Bristol is the biggest city in the UK not to have had a team in the Premier league and it’s depressing
