The bookmakers have slashed the odds on Wilfried Bony joining Liverpool from 6/1 to odds on 5/6. Here Brenda comes again.

Can't understand you at all Roof. "Big money from Summer sales" is not what we need as we're solvent and don't need to sell. Top players on the pitch, we do!

We still have top players on the field , proven ones .Bony replaced by Gomis and Emnes. Taylor for Davies ....Taylor is as good as Davies . Weve got 3 good keepers , one will draw a lot of money . We will make a ton of money , plus money for Laudrups good signings , Michu , Canas and Pablo should bring good money , hopefully we can at least retain Chico .

the club has turned down spurs bid and will not pay £10m or anywhere near for siggs who has not made a single assist in two seasons. £2 - £3m is about the most and then we will be taking a chance on that,

Siggy will leave for £6m plus or I'll eat my cock.

£2-3m is a ridiculous estimate of his worth.

i dont think he is worth it. every time he gets loaned out he plays a couple of games and benched. where has he earned the price tag of anything over £3 million. No team seems to keep him long and not a single assist last season according to spurs and that is not good enough to pay big bucks with that CV.

When he was with us Dai. His contribution in the second half of the season really helped push us to safety. I'd agree with a $6-7 price tag. Certainly would tell Spurs to shove it if they expect Vorm and Taylor as a Siggy swap.

Graham had a great first half and must have scored 10 goals . When Siggy came , Grahams role changed to hard work and create space , nobody benefitted more than Siggy when the rest of the team was creating that space ..... space he may not find here these days imo ... no Siggyfor me unless a big bargain .

Not sure how we can say that either are proven replacements. Bony a proven 15 plus goal a season striker in the Premiership and an international. Emnes as much as I like him dont see him as a direct replacement for Bony, strike rate too poor for an out and out front man. As for Gomis 4 years older and strike rate not as good and unproven in the Premiership so jury is still out on him for me. I am not saying either of these are poor players on their own merits but they certainly dont compare.
Either way it sounds like it will be a different look Swansea when the season kicks off thats for sure. So looking forward to seeing these new players in the the shirt and hope they help push us on to an even better season.

Running a football club isn't about "making big money" by selling your best players if you're solvent. It's about playing entertaining football and winning matches to maintain your status. I have no problem with Bony going to a top four side as he's earned that chance but anything else and we should dig our heels in and hold him to his contract.

As for Sigurdsson, those of us who have watched the Swans for long enough recognise that there are certain players who just 'fit' with us and perform better than they would elsewhere. I don't put Bony in that bracket but Siggy I certainly do. Because of the way we play and the position he's likely to play he'd be a huge asset imo. £10M is over-egging it but around £6M sounds right.

    I'm worried.
Look at the players currently being linked with moves away.....

    Vorm (GK)
    Ben Davies (LB)
    Pablo (Playmaker)
    Michu (Goal scorer)
    Bony (Goal scorer)

    Very important 1st team players.

Now, I know that we won't lose all of these players....but lose enough of them and try to integrate too many signings and we are playing a very high risk game IMO.
It could work out, but I wouldn't bet on it.

    We were stable and evolving.
I hope this summer doesn't turn into a Monk revolution....if it does and he pulls it off I will give him enormous credit, however, if it goes horribly wrong he and the board members responsible will need to be held accountable.

He hasnt been loaned out since 2012 when he came to us and wasnt benched at all. Since then he has played 2 seasons for Spurs with 58 appearances. Current market value is just over £7 milion. So £6-8 million is a fair price and one I would be happy for the club to pay.

    Champions league.

Dangle those two words and you are ahead of the game.
    Liverpool, Napoli???

Next best Europa League which is why we kept players last year and also brought in some gems, once the board had seen sense.

Gylfi? £5 mill very tops and only if JdG isn't with us.

I like Siggy and I think he fits our style, he is certainly worth more than £2m- £3M I'd probably put him about £5M. I'd have him back but it would depend on who is playing alongside him.

You can add Chico to that list because I'm continuously seeing his name being linked with a move away.

As for your last para, I'm in agreement. If all these moves happen and we benefit, I can only give Monk and the board all due credit. But if things go arse up, I think Monk will become one of our most reviled managers ever and Jenkins will definitely have to consider his position. Hoping against hope that this doesn't happen..... for the sake of our club.
