Not on here, all I see is the Mancs telling us how worried we're Given two good performances at the two toughest places to go (without our proper 11) with all the 'top teams' to come to ours. We still have Utd away but i think with key players back (we really miss Sturridge, Enrique + Gerrard) we can get something there Yesterday we could make 1 change to our 11, Man City made 7 from when we played them! A lb, strong centre mid + a wide player who knows where the net is in Jan will do nicely Looking forward to 2nd half of season lets carry on our good football
And that 1 change was playing someone out of position We got to January still within touch of the title let alone top 4, without too much disruption from the Suarez ban and some big injuries.
Not worried at all. think we've performed superbly this season. Yes we need to bring in players to strengthen the squad/starting eleven. But if someone had said at the start of the season you'll be top 5 and within 6 points of top spot i think we'd all have taken that. We look good at home, have got some difficult away games out of the way and are getting better. All in all one very happy LFC fan.
You have to put the last 2 games into context - away from home against 2 of the sides who will be top 4 Rodgers has done a great job so far - evolution not revolution
6 points behind the league leaders at the halfway stage. Not bad id say. Yes we lost two games but they were against the two best teams in the country, and at their home!!! I suppose the worst thing is that everyone else seems to have capitalised on our failings. I was hoping for do e teams to get a draw here and there. We have a nice January coming up and hopefully we can rack up the points again.
wouldn't be too worried about the mancs... drew with spurs when they were useless lost to everton (top side everton) lost to newcastle (average side) beat villa 3-0 who can't play at home beat west ham who didn't turn up and have no forwards scraped past hull city 3-2 away (hull despite our loss are f'n muck) scraped past norwich 1-0 (norwich had lots of chances thier next 4 are tottenham at home Swansea at home in cup swansea at home then chavland Lets see what they do in those games next... we got no credit for whacking bottom half sides by the odd 3 goals but mancs think narrow wins and a couple of teams that didn't trun up mean they are now favorites or something? Lets hope it keeps moyes in a job til jan 31.
I'm normally doom and gloom after a loss, but other than the first 45mins against Chavs we went toe to toe with the two most expensive squads in the league and equited ourselves the right way. We tried to play football and not kick lumps out of the opposition. I'm not even going to use the bad refereeing decisions that went against us as an excuse, **** happens, it was our turn this time, next time it could be in our favour. I just want to concentrate on the positives and there was more of them than negatives. Hope we get our injured players back soon and get 2/3 quality signings in Jan, then 4th at the least is still very much up for grabs, esp. when everyone bar Man Utd has to come and play us at home!
Very harsh on Hull who have proven they are very much up for it at home. I am a little worried if I'm honest as we are seeing the limitations of our squad and need to invest. If we don't we'll plod around 5-7th.
Dippers I think you'll find he was talking about man utd's result which is why he started it 'wouldn't be too worried about the mancs'
I love it, say it loud enough Mancs, we got beat (just) by the two best teams on their home turf and dropped a couple of spots. Just ignore the fact You were already down there because you''ve been beaten by them, us, generally anyone you can think of.... And we''ll correct the Hull issue on Wednesday.
