It's concerning me a little the volume of players that may be required in summer.

A selection of the players who look likely to leave at the end of their contracts in summer includes Fabianski, Sagna and Bendtner. In addition Vermaelen looks likely to leave through lack of game time, and Viviano will leave at the end of his loan.

We are all seemingly in agreement that a striker is necessary, but it seems that at least 3 others may be necessary, and potentially 4.

That's a lot of players to bring in, with another DM also being touted as a possible requirement.

I'm hoping that Sagna and Vermaelen accept new contracts. Bendy should have been out a long time ago and Fabianski has said that he wants to be Number one at a club so that he can push for the Polish keeper spot too.

I think we can promote a keeper from within, a striker still remains the most important summer acquisition.

If both GK's go, we will need to sign a new experianced quality keeper, relying on some youngster GK from the club is not at all a good idea, especially say if it's a major European game coming up, you don't want some young unexperianced GK for such a game.

I agree a No3 GK can be promoted, but a No2 surely has to be brought in?

I see no reason why Verm would want to stay - he's at an age where he needs to be the main man & play regularly. And Sagna isn't being offered the terms he wants, so looks at the moment like he's leaving too.

A GK, RB, CB, DM, ST are needed, and another wing-forward would give good depth to the squad, but that's a lot of players for one window!

I think Verm has had a lot of injuries this season that have kept him away from challenging for a spot. Granted he wont get one with how well our other CB's are playing but his injury problems hve been [pretty had in recent seasons and it may be that he is happy to stay another season to get himself back on track.

Sagna i think will probably go to Monaco or PSG for a massive money contract and a last couple of french trophies before the end of his career. However im desperately hoping we can get him to sign a new deal. If he goes we definately need a new RB.

I'd say back-up GK, new RB if Sagna goes, new CB if Verm and Sagna are gone - and a striker. A DM would be a bonus but i think the other spots will take priority. So thats 5 players max, less if some of our guys don't go. Don't think that will be too much trouble since a couple of the positions are back-up spots.

Can't see us buying in all of those positions.

Vermaelen needs to play his way back into the squad. He's done well when he has come in but he's had limited opportunities. I really hope he doesn't go because he is a top quality CB and we'd be really light without him. I think Sagna will stay, so hopefully our defence won't need too much tweaking.

The players I'd like to see come in are Lars Bender and Mario Mandzukic
