I think we're all sick to death of discussing the same old story. No left side, Bruce hasn't got a clue, Gyan, Strikers etc, etc, etc. There's been very little discussion since the game finished. What more is there to say? We all know what the problems are and we've debated them ad nauseum. Where do we go from here?

There's probably more than 50% (?) of Sunderland supporters want Bruce's head. I'm probably one of them, although for some reason i can't say i want him out. Anyone else feel like that? It's impossible to defend him, i spend all my time on here criticising him. Does anyone think a new manager could turn this season around? Hughes, O'Neil etc.

I think i'm in a state of mind where i seriously doubt a new manager could achieve much more. I look at the squad and i've got to tell you lads, it doesn't look up to much. I can barely think of a team that gives me any real confidence. Any new manager will need the players. It's my opinion only, but i think we're in a sorry situation new manager or not.

Can anyone see light at the end of the tunnel?

Have to agree, I just can't see any of the managers stated wanting to come here unless Short decides he is willing to spend/invest out of his own pocket in Jan.

To be fair you have invested a lot of money in new players this summer. I know this is from the Bent/Henderson sales but look at the likes of us & Villa, we get a lot of money then don't spend nearly as much. It's just Bruce used the money to buy squad players instead of good players to improve the first team.

Whether you are a Bib or a Bob, one thing is for certain. This all cant just go on indefinitely. Defeat against Stoke City (which would be our 9th in 10 games) and Norwich and WBA after and we will have lost 5 out of 7 games this season. I can honestly see Stoke coming up here full of confidence and a spell in Europe, winning next week easily and I can also see Norwich record a home win against a team that cant score goals.

WBA at home then will surely be the final nail in Bruce's box. To leave it any later would be disastrous.

What light at the end of the tunnel, can there be one with Clueless in charge?
