When you are a spy, and you betray other spies, there is a chance you are going to be got back at.
Russian politics are a mix of oligarchy and all sorts. Any faction could have carried out this revenge attack.

Here is the thing, with the trend of blaming things on Russia for everything without evidence for the past 10 years.. it is a solid educated guess that this was done to exacerbate the cold war MKII that has been going on for almost a decade now.

Have you any idea of the billions made in selling weapons to states around Russia's borders.. harvesting said nations into NATO and when you join NATO you have to spend BILLIONS to become inter-operable with NATO

How many jets did the US sell to Russia's neighbours? guns bombs and so on.

You have to be an utter dingbat to not see what is going on.

We bomb hospitals. Factual events not alleged = Accident
Russia alleged to bomb one = evil (the UK media reported the "last hospital in Aleppo bombed" on 4 different occasions.
We carry out assassinations in foreign countries, as in, a fact, admitted = good
Russia is alleged to have done it = evil
We interfere in other states' elections, invade nations and cause a wave of humanitarian tragedy that lasts decades = we're the good guys
Russia bloodlessly annexes a mostly ethnic Russian Crimean peninsula after WE backed a coup in Ukraine supporting far right lunatics = evil.

Russia is not the good guy, but we are far worse. It's time to accept that the anglo alliance has killed 4 million people in 10 years and NOTHING Russia has done even comes close to that evil.
To deny the above is to well, not even be worth talking to on the matter.

If Russia is a bully, we are a psychopath

No you are not just curious, you think it matters, because if my location was Moscow, then you can just disregard the perfectly reasonable case put forward above.

I'm a paddy FYI and I live in Finland since 2013 and have been a member here since 2011

Russia is only in Syria because we allowed ISIS to go on unchecked for over 2 years ffs, Russia smashed their oil operations in 2 weeks after showing up after we allowed it to go on for 26 months. Turkey we knew, in fact Erdogan was selling this oil

Obama lied and said "we didn't take out ISIS oil because of "environmental concerns" <laugh> <doh>

    We started that war
We back Al Qaeda in Syria
We flood weapons into the region
We destroyed Libya and sent Libyan weapons to Syria
    We destroyed Iraq
    We destroyed Afghanistan
We supported a coup in Ukraine

When I say we, I mean all of us faux moral westerners who turn a blind eye to the gross murder of our own governments and militaries

like WTF are you all smoking <laugh>

No. You are wrong. I wanted to get a context for the views you post. Yes I don’t agree with every point you make. But a few I agree with. The establishment released views are not necessarily the truth. We have to make our own minds and not accept everything that’s written or released in the mainstream media.

tbh England have an incredibly favourable draw in groups so if we fail to get to knockouts it will be an utter disaster.

however if England lose to Belgium they will be second in group.

1st and 2nd in group g will play whoever from group h.

that's likely to be either Poland, senegal, Japan or columbia.

so qf for england is possible... or in other words any competant team should be making it that far.

it will either be Germany or Brazil in qf (in theory) and that will then be that.

    see below.

    draw very favourable.

    qf = competent
    last 16 = par
    groups = an shambles.

once england meet a decent side that will be that

Dunno, I think there is a distinct lack of expectation this time round and I think that might help the team

it might but a largely incompetent manager allied to press which will talk this into a world cup winning team by the kick off multiples by a largely functional team devoid of flair...

England might qualify from group because we have an easy group. I don't see us going far though. National team is crap.

It is, it's just the last 16 likely opponent won't be top tier at all.

I suppose in a knock out you need only catch people on their bad days...

... I still think it's unlikely. I have more hope in Liverpool winning the CL than England making the quarters of the WC.
