Interesting that's in the Telegraph, and I trust them more than I trust the Daily Mail, who've claimed the games wouldn't be adjusted...http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...2022-Qatar-World-Cup-games-played-thirds.html (link provided for A Casual Fan ;)).

Having said that, my gut feeling is the Mail are right, and they wouldn't alter the game for the sake of the world cup. If they DID change it to three periods/thirds/rounds/whatever the hell else the Americans call those things in sports divided into stupid sections... then I'd expect it to be for advertising reasons, being able to screen more adverts during the game etc. The Superbowl half time adverts cost some ridiculous figure for a 30 second spot!

With all the money and corruption in football at that level and Blatter refusing to budge from the top with it looking like he is losing his marbles, i'm predicting a "heart attack" in the next 5-6 months

Just a joke man! You said you'd seen me reference lots of things without providing a link, so I debated doing it for every source I mention, but got bored after 1!
