World Cup draw

Whatever you think of Qatar we'll all be watching in November as England and hopefully one of Wales or Scotland will be taking on the world. England in the 1st pot will hope to avoid Germany and Holland in pot 2 but will have to fail miserably not to qualify from the group stage...

 

The draw hosted by Jermaine Jenas, how.on earth did he land this gig?

 

I see Jenas has blagged the job of presenting the show, a bit out of place amongst the FIFA legends...

 

We've got the Yanks which should be one of the easier 2nd pot teams...

 

Yeah just like in South Africa

 

We won't have Rob Green gifting the first goal...

 

And we get Iran in our 1st game, their match with the Yanks will be fun...

 

Scotland or Wales will be in our group if they get through, all in all couldn't have picked the draw any better...

He doesn't want to wake up ! Canada last team drawn in with Portugal and Uruguay. What a load of bollox that draw was, a country with no rights for women has 2 of them presenting along with Jermaine Penis ffs. Good draw for England but would have to see the full draw to see who we'd face in last 16 and quarters.

 

I hope it's Ukraine that make up our group.
Wales and Scotland will raise their game 5 fold against the hated English.
Was really hoping that European play off ball wouldn't go in our group, but of course it was written.

Apart from that, a very good group for us.

 

So, we’re likely to be playing the Bombers, the Bummers and the Bombed Out.

 

Would have had to have beaten them anyway on the way to lifting the trophy

 

Just being there would be huge for the Kiwi's, providing you get past Costa Rica who finished the group very strongly. Should you make it, a turn up against one of those sides would go down in folklore !

 

Canada vs Belgium (aren't they world #2 ? - could be a long game for us)
Canada vs Croatia (probably another long game);and
Canada vs Morocco. (Morocco are also ahead of us in world rankings but if we are going to have a breakthrough in this cup, I think this will be the match)

 

Piss easy draw.. well to get out of the group anyway.

World rankings mean **** all really, Switzerland got to number 1 and Poland number 2 not all that long ago. If you get a run of winning 15 games on the trot against garbage you can shoot up them. Canada could do well against Morocco, just watch out at set pieces !
