I got all excited when I saw the article on the offish thinking maybe things would finally be improved in the Ellerslie (such as toilets and catering from an era later than the Victorian) but as has been the case in every close season for the last 30 odd years I was mistaken. It seems the cash is being splashed on increasing the size of the TV gantry to meet PL standards and... that's it. So, yet more seating within a limited view of proceedings and burger all else it would seem.

Thoughts? Anyone heard any rumours of anything else that might get updated in the summer? As things 'stand' (geddit?) I'm probably looking at a big price rise but no ground improvements. I know we would all rather see money spent on improving the squad but making some basic improvments to facilities would be packet change to our owners. If nothing changes I'm going to Kidnap the Mittals and force them to spend a couple of hours in the Elleslie.

I would have to agree with QPAAAAGH, The facilities in the Ellerslie Stand are poor.

Yet more limited view seating. Suppose the club dont really have a choice about this but surely they could do something to improve the conditions. Maybe a few more food stands little kiosks like they do for programmes and please, please do something to the toilets. One scarring experience was enough.

Why is it already assumed they will not make improvements? Let's wait and see.

We have to remember that there are certain conditions that HAVE to be met to play in the PL. Rightly so, the club are meeting these conditions first. As for the bogs, yes they are in a state but have you travelled on a train, been to an inner city pub lately?? I am sure that these problems will be dealt with in the fullness of time. Have patience my friends.

    U Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs!!!!!111
