I used the same starting word for donkeys, since starting doing it on here. A couple of weeks ago I followed cumbrians advice and tried a different one every day.
Made no difference to me.....I'm still ****e at it.
I don't get many fails, current streak is 236 , but I'm mostly on 4s, 5s and 6s.

2 eagles today ( it must be easy)
2 hughies first two, left me knowing what vowels were left bit of a think and sunk my eagle putt.
Her indoors had 4 hughies and a simple tap in for hers.
Last leg today...Glencoe to Home and were ready for it as we've both been unwell most of this trip which has spoilt it somewhat...never mind.

Same here, but got it in one early on after a winning streak in the 90's my best so far, so used another similar word , until adopting Cumbrias advice round about the same time as yourself, and it went skew whiff for me ( 2 or 3 fails in quick succession) so reverted back to plan "A" with mixed results so far. On another note I wish I had kept a record of the winning word each day as I am not sure if words are repeated, I did not know about the plurals either until reading Heftys helpful post, I also tried Hardmode but that did not help me much either, its certainly a frustrating game at times, but a bit of fun just trying to avoid the 30's club, I wish <laugh>.
