Just read on BBC website that Woodgate is to re-join Middlesborough on a free transfer. He is currently having a medical but has yet to discuss terms.
I guess TP took him on last season because of the Europa League (except that he wasn't in the Europa squad). I think he was offered a contract by TP for this season but Woody had not signed it. He probably thought his chances of playing would by limited. And, like you say, he will not be asked to play RB for Boro'

Good luck to him. Didnt have the best time for us but playing him at right back didnt help him finding any sort of form. Hope with a run of games he will do well for boro. Felt he was worth a gamble at the time but didnt work out. Good luck all the best woody
