Hardly, bare in mind that Connolly has only made 18 starts in his entire Southampton career. The only reason we have for thinking he isn't completely broken is because he had a good few games at the end of the season.
Didn't woodgate play CCC with 'boro? would probably be a decent punt on a pay as you play deal up to say 15 games and £20k p/w after.
Why would we want to sign a player that would never play?
