I still think we'll sign another centre back. Woodgate could quite easily suffer another injury after the season starts so more cover there is probably needed. I reckon Carlton Cole will be next, but he's not a signing that would really excite me. We need another Fuller-type player to pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat now and again.

Another Peter Coates bargain basement signing! Woodgate will be next seasons bench warmer for sure. If Demba Ba and Eidur were not Stoke fit then he has no chance!

I think Pulis should stop asking advice fron his old mate 'Arry. Wasn't it he who suggested we take Eidur? Now it's Woodgate.

You're all getting rather stressed over someone who is free. . .

Free or not, Woodgate Will no doubt be one of our "Squad" of how many?
My problem is this.. if he ain't fit too play and it doesn't seem he is Pulis fit.. that's ONE less player as back up.

And every right to be stressed. Football rules are that we have to name a 25 man squad and if one ain't up to it we are then down on numbers and we all know what happens then, look at the end of last season!

Why didn't he just keep Faye and buy div 1 prospect for CB rotation and then concentrate on the areas that really matter!

I personally believe that the signing of Woody, is perfect business for Stoke, as i personally think this will unlock the doors for the better players we all crave, too suddenly go, hang on if Stoke are signing class players like that, then this a club on the up who mean business.

Stoke signing Woody, will open up other players eyes.

I too think a pay for play deal is excellent business at this time for Stoke.

We get to see his present condition before we choose the 25 and if he don't make the grade he costs nothing.

Excellent work from TP yet again.

He is not pay per play! He gets a bacsic with bonuses that are structured around a certain number games! Must be Stoke Fit!
