Thats another player added to the list. This must be one of our worst ever seasons for injuries surely??? Gutted for him. Was out for most of this season, and now out again. As wards says in the interview, it is going to be a real test for him http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22108127 Danny is also out of contract end of this season....
Really feel sorry for Danny as he broke his ankle this time last season - and now this. Can't believe our long-term injury list - it must be the worst in the Football League!
Danny is going to be at least 31 before he will play again. To be realistic, I can't see how he can be optimistic to have a future in the playing side of the game anymore. I reckon he will need to bite the bullet and look for a career in other departments of the game or a career elswhere. I also feel that Rovers should give him as much support as possible to overcome this dreadful situation. It's not a new occurance in football and I seriously believe that Rovers will make every effort to help him to overcome this horrible circumstance. Good Luck for the future Danny!!
This is bad news he always gives 100%. This latest setback could sadly finish his career. Yes are injuries have been the worse then I can remember.
the things players do these days to get out of pre season running! have to laugh otherwise i will cry! the players have we lost for 9 months plus this season... bevan virgo kenneth gill harrold clucas woodards then add other long term injuries such as... bolger clarkson norburn what a crazy crazy season for bad injuries.
i hope so. he was our player of the season last season and done very well getting himself fit for this season after his broken leg as well has the lost of his brother. i really hope he can come back from this but 9 months out means he wont be back from injury until next jan 2014 and then he got to get match fit so feb time is when we would see him again after this injury and thats if he recovers full stop. his contract is up end of this season and so to offer him a new contract is a big gamble. his wages would take up some budget which can be used on a player who can play and help us up the league. i would though pay for his treatment and help him through this time. offer him a very reduced contract and agree on terms that his wages can be increased once he proves his fitness. hope he fights back.
