He's going to either Lesster or Millwall.

Both clubs have agreed fees for him with WBA, so it's down to him!

Any suggestion we were in for him were a smokescreen! Our desires lie elsewhere!

I suspect he will go for lesta, as he is from a midlands club, and Lesta probably have a better chance of promotion that Millwall, I hope not, but I guess that is probably where he will end up.

I suspect SB has his targets....either extending loans or signing permanents: Elmo, Brady, Stockdale, Meyler; OR - he'll have some targets up his sleeve. Ones that we don't have a clue about.

He's done OK with Aluko, Faye, Quinn (and yet/possibly Proschwitz). He also renewed Roko's contract as soon as he arrived.

And I'd reckon he'll have the Allam wallet to back him, as I reckon they trust him not to go barmy and throw cash around madly (cf. PB/PD and Bullard).

Like I said, smokescreen! There's interested and there's interested. One means really want, the other means pushing price up for others!

Actually there's one we have more than a clue about, but I suspect that could go either way!

Really hope he chooses Millwall. His effect on our promotion hopes would be lessened because of Millwall's limitations, but Leicester's push would be strengthened with him on board.
It would also leave Pearson in limbo if he lost his main target and hopefully our focus on Campbell would mean the January window would see our team strength improve even more over theirs.

Be careful what you wish for! Who is to say if Wood goes to Millwall that Pearson doesn't start competing with us for a player we REALLY want?

My Mackem pal reckons that's the buzz on Wearside....but no-one is sure whether, or not, he'll countenance a drop to the Championship.

FC would do the job. But would he fit in with the squad? This squad is like a gang - I seem to recall posting a YouTube clip of The Clash's "Last Gang in Town" when I made this point, previously.

    Far kit! Have another look!

Very good signing for Millwall if he goes there and a bit of coup given the wealthier clubs chasing him.

    Someone likes them.

Millwall fancy a pop, don't be surprised if they aren't in the play offs come the end of the season. Whichever team he goes to he will have a big impact on our results & remember that we still have Millwall to play at their place where as we'll have played Leicester twice by then.

He's not guaranteed to fire Leicester up the table, sometimes moves just don't work out. Billy sharp was lethal for scunny, but couldn't do it at blades, was lethal again at donny then (I think) didn't do a lot for saints. Bellamy was one of the best players in the premier league for man city a few seasons ago then went on loan to Cardiff and was very underwhelming.

It's highly likely he will carry on his form with milwall if he stays there, but nothing is guaranteed and a move to a different club could put him off a bit. I would much rather him carry on his form at milwall than at Leicester though, as Leicester are proper serious contenders for the top few spots, milwall are just high flying.

The usual football rumors / exaggerated dreams website has us linked with Darren Bent on loan for the rest of the season with a large bonus should we get promoted
