How come The Gurniad isn't kicking off about Blackpools sponsors, just IiA. Is it OK for an American company to dry hump the poor in the UK but a charity (well not for profit organisation) that is set up to help Africa gets bad press. Mind I bet Blackpool don't shift many replicas, as far as sponsors go Wonga.com must be down there with Greggs.
Mmmmm, I'm glad you have no necessity to do so, sadly for some people its the lender of last resort. Their business practices were outlawed in the US so they came over here. Too many perople take the ostrich approach to the world around them
What about some of those adds for Quick Quid i saw last month when i was back in Scotland? 1785% APR... seems like a tad bit to much to charge for interest like? QQ is the look you have when you get stung, just like their initals.
Bet your wounded you missed the Thatcher years, still at least you can console yourself with a poster of Cameron on the bedroom wall. When you escape the apron strings you will be I my eyes fully qualified to make daft comments like this..... HairyHaggis Wonga charge 4238%apr, legalised Loansharking, they should be taxed out of existance and the money invested in Community Credit Unions
****in hell... you would never be able to pay that back. And to the people who it is targeted to, those struggling everyday; well, they would lose the little they have. Dunno how they get away with it, and why on earth people would be that desperate to pay 4238% interest... i struggle handing over 10% GST and 42% of my wage in tax...
The 4328% interest would be if you didn`t pay the loan back for a year - as you have to pay it back the same month you borrowed it it`s less than this - works out roughly £25 per £100 borrowed, still daylight robbery, but if you`re desperate ......
REDAN.....Why the **** has Thatcher or Cameron, got to be tagged to this piece of **** , without mentioning the other partys. very biased mush. Which party put us in the **** that we are in? obviously a very scant and short memory.
Well to counter that argument, for one it was the global lack of regulation of the financial markets that lead to this (toxic debt in America and the general 'passing around to hide it') it wasn't Labour per se and the fact that the US is utilising the plan drawn up by Gordon Brown after the 2007 market collapse and are showing growth(both economic and in job creation) while the Tories have bought misery in the UK but just 'cutting' for the sake of it with no plan for growth. They(the Tories) are only interested in protecting the affluent (read top 10%), the disconnect from 'normal' society within the cabinet is quite simply astounding and not fit for purpose (as has been demonstrated by the constant back tacking and ad hoc measures) it is an 'old school' clique. They are that **** at their jobs and in any other profession would be shown the door. Take for instance them blaming Labour for PFI in the health service, it was their own plan that Labour implemented when they came into power because the Tories had cooked the books on future cost projections because all their cronies were getting the contracts. BUNCH OF SELF SERVING INBRED NUMPTIES (and they are running the show, albeit BADLY!!) And I personally didn’t mind Labour sharing the pie more evenly when the country was doing well, did you? The shower of **** we have at the moment doesn't have the family silver to sell off like last time around. Social cohesion and economic parity is what this country needs (like Scandinavia, alot wealthier and happier than us, add to that better educated as well), not rich ****ers setting social groups against each other(poor bashing) while they dip their pockets to add to their already considerable wealth.
