Rodgers should do a Fergie and ban the lying hack ****s that attempted a new smear campaign against Balotelli.
Rodgers was protective of Suarez but also publicly criticised him about the bite, but when the hacks at the BBC gave a list of Suarez's controversies in Holland and the prem even when it was an article about one of his amazing goals/displays Rodgers should have told them to either do the same with every player they report on or they wouldn't be welcomed at Anfield or pre and post match conferences. The damage has already been done about the non events in the behind closed doors friendly v Wolves and Rodgers should be more vocal in support of the player when he deserves it.
seriously though, Brendan should get heavy with the ****ers now, because it's obvious they want a Suarez substitute and half the tabloid editors have already decided it's Mario.
I really think he should leave well enough alone - Belly will take pressure off our squad in bad patches as he will prob lose his rag and get a red - to detract from our performance which is a plus. Brendan needs to win something major like league or CL then he will be in position to take on press - at the moment his position is still precarious because any drop in performance press will really go to town so he needs to keep the press on Good side - which is where I think Balotelli helps
Wonder if this will get the same profile in the Mail and the Mirror Hate to point it out, but it is the Mirror you have linked to
Ballotelli made the headlines long before Suarez. Suarez was just a stop gap until Mario returned. You may not have noticed him before as he didn`t play for Liverpool
What's the worst Balotelli has done on the pitch? If off field "antics" are fair game why don't the hacks give a rundown of granny shagging, threesomes with brasses in the Lowry hotel, banging ones brothers wife, firing a 2.2 air rifle at youth players, burning a teamate with a cigar etc when writing articles/stories about non foreign players?
Sort of agree with this. The thought had crossed my mind with Suarez over the last couple of seasons and the signing of Balotelli made me think it again
Be honest though Page, in-house/private/alleged indescretions are never going to get the same coverage as something commited live in front of millions of viewers
Liverpool magistrates court website, Manchester magistrates court website, a statement from an ex players brother and his former wife, a Manchester police spokesperson and in the air rifle case from the tabloid and broadsheet press.
But that's the whole point, if Ballotelli does something off the pitch what's it got to do with what happens on it.
They were all in the tabloids mate, and have been rehashed many times Magistrates court web sites, were you looking for something in particular that you may have read about in the press or do you visit them all daily to check up on the world? They sound interesting anyway, i may give them a try
