After taking a mid winter break the Chairboys are back in action against the Wombles, weather permitting, no doubt our ground staff are sweating with more overnight rain forecast. The Wombles have been plummeting down the table as fast as ourselves, having not tasted victory since mid November so this is a must win game for both sides. The Chairboys are boosted by the return to training of Steven Craig aided by calves blood strange lot these jocks and Kortney Hause has recovered from a groin strain. I'll be missing the game working but this is one I expect us to win if and its a big IF we keep 11 players on the pitch
steven craigs injury recovery has got to be one of the weirder storys ive heard, but whatever works I suppose! I think gaz will stick with the team he would have played against Fleetwood, hopefully the slightly fresher legs will aid us with [picking up a win here as for getting the game on its now stopped raingin in hazlemere and whilst the rain has been constant, it hasent been as heavy as first forcast so hopefully this game will go ahead as planned COYB!
Not looking good for us. "Midfielder Matt Spring (calf) is out and the game could come too soon for Kortney Hause (groin) and Dean Morgan (hamstring). The Chairboys are seeking their first win on home soil since 12 October. AFC Wimbledon add striker Charlie Wyke to their squad, after the 21-year-old joined on a one-month loan deal from Championship side Middlesbrough."
Starting line up as v Fleetwood Ingram, McCoy, Stewart, Johnson, Wood, Arnold, Scowen, Lewis, Knott, Cowan-Hall, Kuffour Craig on the bench
Just shocking!! I don't understand why Ainsworth starts with Kuffour ahead of McClure. Well i refuse to back the manager any longer as Waddock has rubbed off on him more than we thought!
Now it's 2-0. 25/1 for promotion. Should be 5000/1 surely. We have absolutely no hope of promotion. These bookies are tight bar stewards.
3-0. It's not promotion you should be talking about it's relegation. Wrexham.Macclesfield and Southport will entertain us next season!
Well I did post up some tempting relegation odds not so long ago. Can't remember what they were but I bet they aren't available now. It was relegation odds I was looking for but they aren't showing. Then I saw the promotion odds which are laughable.
Presumably we will be better when Kortney Hause (groin) and Dean Morgan (hamstring) return. Who are the weak links either ability-wise or attitude-wise? I take it Kuffour and Arnold aren't up to it. So we need some loan players who can make a difference. I am a big admirer of Gaz but it does make me wonder when he keeps playing Kuffour; even though he has scored a couple of corkers. I wonder what his reasoning is.
Only 4 points above the relegation places now. And Ron when Morgan is fit he'll be on the bench because Ainsworth will play Kuffour, and McClure will probably keeping him company on the bench ffs!!
Not seen todays crap as at work but here is my assesment of some of our players Arnold ok in defence but of no use in midfield Kuffour runs a round alot but will never win a ball in the air or hold the ball upneeds to play with someone who can McClure only of any use in the box but will score only 1 in 4 chances which is twice as many as Kuffour McCoy needs to concentrate when defending Sam Wood left wing not a left back we need one urgent Scowen gives away too many free kicks as does Lewis who can't pass the ball why was he given the armband he's not a leader and we need a leader on the pitch the window is open use it before its too late
