They spent 13.5m last summer for Costa aswell. Anyone that thinks next season will be a walk in the park is very wrong.
That must be the fools on twitter? This board seems pretty sensible about it and I've seen a few on Facey going on like that, but in general they've been shot down about it.
It is mate, but this is the reality of relegation. At least we have prepared for it with reduced contracts though or we would have been in real danger of a double relegation.
I'm not talking Twitter on the safc hash tag. These are generally sensible Sunderland fans from my followers/following list. Small section of our fans are setting themselves up for a fall. These will be the first to turn and aply pressure when things aren't playing out to their blinked forecasts.
As an eternal optimist I could say they might be right.... I hope for a play off push. Hope not expectation though
Expecting it and being happy with it are 2 different things. I expect it. Won't be happy. 6 weeks ago, I was worried about dropping a league again. I'm not now.
Much as we'd love to get back up, I don't expect it, and more so I think it could gebuinely do us good to have 2 years down and completely rebuild. That's not to say I wouldn't be pissing glitter of we somehow did it this year mind, I'm just hoping I can start enjoying it again rather than games feeling a chore.
All depends on who we sign and who we let go. If we sign some decent forwards, sign mcgeady, max gradel and keep khazri and co we should be trying to go up. We will see tho.
Fair point. Of course we did actually bounce back up Very different situations though and the Championship is probably stronger next year. 4 weeks!
As for the thread, Wolves are an odd one. One marquee signing each year surely isn't as useful as 2-3 top players for the championship. Are they really going for it or are they investing in players they think they can sell on for more money in a couple of years?
Amount you spent there was no doubt you were going stright back up. I meant generally in regards to you lot.
