http://www.journallive.co.uk/safc/s...k-cats-target-steven-fletcher-61634-31162163/ Now I rate the lad and want him at the club next season but if that's what it is going to take then no thanks.
Cant say I'm bothered mate, fist what Wolves want and what Wolves get can many pounds apart. Second I have said many times cost is no concern to me, thats down to Short and O'Neill, if they think he is worth 20 mil and are willing to pay it then who am I to complain.
Due to being relegated, they can't really keep this this price for him Even though they claim that the wage bill does not need to be reduced, I believe they will and therefore will have to sell a couple of there players at least to try and even it out and look at some new transfers I would say we will get him rather late on in the transfer window, or someone will pay an excessively high amount for him
Id love him at safc but not for 14m. From Wolves point of view they've just seen Burnley get 7m for Jay Rodriquez so I can see where they are coming from
I'm a big fan of the lad but £14m is way too much. Cisse only cost the maggots £9m. Either fletcher puts a transfer in to push it through, or we move on now. We can't afford to wait until August to find out if he is coming or not.
I can't see us paying anything like that price for the lad...Half that price and we should start thinking about him..
Worth about half that. They'll struggle to retain an unhappy player which I suspect he will be given the interest in him. They'll relent at some point because they have to. Its just their opening gambit to see if anyone is particularly desperate.
Much better value buying from abroad, we should have had Cisse last summer. We paid 13m for Gyan though who's record is similar to Fletcher For that price though id rather bring in two strikers around the 7m mark.
Agree. They'll know no one will touch him at that price and it'll look they are compromising at around 9-10m which is what I think he'll go for.
He's worth more than 7m Wolves paid 7.5m and he's had two good seasons in the premier league and improved his game. The only way he'll go for that is close to deadline day imo
There's also a chance we'll part exchange a player with the deal. If he's worth £10m, then I reckon there's better for that price overseas !
Id sweeten the deal with loaning them Wickham and selling them Killgallon if it knocked a few quid off
Love your quote of "I want never gets"....my wife says that to our grandkids...but we don't want Fletcher at that price!! If somebody offered you an ice-cream for two pounds that normally sells for 75p,you wouldn't buy it would you??Same principle applies!!
I want a new car big house and a lotto win it just isn't going to happen, there's my chance of my arse sealing up than wolves getting 14mil for fletcher especially now that Dalgliesh isn't at the bin dippers.
