Interesting one this. If West Brom win, then the gap from the Rs could be 7-8 points (also depending upon Villa's result). If Wolves win or draw, then they leapfrog the Rs and we fall 1 or 3 points behind them. Which would you prefer? I'm thinking that this is now a perm 3 from 5 for the drop, so probably would opt for a Baggies win. Whatever happens, the Rs are only two points off the bottom. I'm pretty fed up hearing people 'dwelling on the positives' of today's game. We lost. And we lost last week too. Fulham, Everton and Bolton away await.
Two of our biggest games now and we have lost both. There is an old saying " take a look around you at the table, and if you can't see the idiot, then guess what, you're it. I think it should now be hitting everybody how very poor we are. I'm afraid we are the weakest link. This will go right down to the wire. Only reason we have a chance at all is because there are 3-4 other teams who are also muck. None of us will have any finger nails left by May.
I think I'll have to go with a Baggies win in this one, I doubt we could catch them anyway so want them to pile more pressure on Wolves. Although I have no idea quite how to feel at the moment I do reckon we might surprise some of the bigger teams we are to face in our run in. Howevere we simply must beat Fulham next up and if we play like we did in the 2nd half today I think we will comfortably. Also Diatke will be with us by then and the lads will have had their bonding trip in the sun so I'm staying optimiistic for now.
A baggies win for me, now that we lost today. Can't have Wolves getting away from us. League of five to avoid the drop imo.
Anything other than a Wolves win, a draw wouldn't be the end of the world and a Baggies win would be perfect, my hunch is 1-1...
